  1. Can't seem to find ladyboys from Thailand in ukraine videos but must be at least some even if they're not in the spotlight. Hope they make it out safe and sound.
  2. The missus was watching this and it seems there are people trying to help and get them to leave even though the manner is long and hard. Wonder if they're trying to leave in the same place or different.
  3. Good place to relax with a girlfriend or at least it used to be. I tried it out and Isaan for half a year+ each time, but always found myself coming back to Patts even with the girlfriend. Just that feeling of being close to everything without the commute and high prices of bangkok. Also lived near Mabprachan lake which was a lot more isolated but if you don't mind a 10 km bike ride to and from patts everytime.. its reasonably close. Same can be said of Na Jomtien or Naklua.
  4. I don't have the complete list but here's a general local list for me in the Northeastern US area. The owner of the NY Jets and NY Mets (but I was never a jets or mets fan) I'm a NY Yankees fan since 1986.. their ownership is okay. But I don't go to Boston to see the yankees play anymore since 2004 as the owner of the Red Sox is a devout right wing nut. He also owns Liverpool FC. On the flip side the owners of Baltimore is very much into Biden and I have traveled to Baltimore a few times for a nice day trip. Home Depot's CEO is another so I really try hard to not shop there. Then there's Facebook's owner and CEO.. I don't use Facebook. Fox News (and they take $22.50 out of every cable tv bill) so I cut the cable a few years ago. There was one local car repair shop I used to go to but he put up a big Trump sign so I found another place. We talked about Apple already. I've also soured on Toyota vehicles as they seem to be supporting right wingers in Tennessee. Oh I play a lot of video games but I've never played and will never play WOW/ Overwatch. The parent company Blizzard is a big donator to right wing politicians and propaganda! I used to play Everquest but they were bought by Russians in 2016 so I stopped playing it then. By no means a perfect list but I do my part! You can research what's local in your area.
  5. No idea about Musk. And I know my money may not be much in the grand scheme of things to Tim Cook but I'm not giving him or any of those guys on the list any of my money to make my life miserable. Some clowns on the forums call me "names" for that but not like I need their approval or anything for voting with my wallet.
  6. Nope I try hard to not buy stuff where the owner supports right wing nut jobs in America. Tim Cook is on my do not buy from list as are others. Same can be said about Tesla's Elon Musk or FSG/ Liverpool's Henry or Trump, etc
  7. I didn't like how ios got rid of the home key. Atleast with samsung you can still have the virtual home key and back. We all have our preferences.
  8. What're you talking about?
  9. I gave the missus's mom an iphone 3g when I upgraded to an iphone 4s many years ago. It was sold off within a few days and she had purchased an android phone calling iphone complicated and not good for her eyes. Your plan makes sense!
  10. The A series have bigger screens but not as good battery. However new vs used flagship is splitting hairs. The difference is S series gets Li-ion vs where A series and lower gets Li-polymer. The worst Li-polymer kinds have batteries that expand and contract like the Tukcom cheap phones and die soonish but Samsung won't use total garbage so you should be good for 2+ years at least.
  11. you're better off buying an old Samsung S7 or something with the Samsung A series than a cheap phone from Tuk Com. I bought cheap from Tuk Com twice and have regretted it twice. Although I still use my S10+ since 2019.. my S7 from 2016 still works and will be my daily driver in Thailand with the Thai Sim. Line works.. camera is okay (doesn't have wideangle or telephoto) but it just works! That's all you need right? Ebay costs are S7 for like $70-85 so about 2000 baht. PD maybe you can stretch it to a S9.. would mean getting a newer battery but up to him. P.S. And if you need to really make it easy for an elderly person.. I suggest using the Google Dialer app where all you do is swipe up to answer. That's what most elderly people prefer.
  12. Ok I've been fooling around with Linux Mint a bit this weekend and I'm impressed. 20 years ago when I first tried it.. I found it lacking in gaming. Currently to my surprise that has been fixed.. Steam wrote a program called Protondb which basically makes 99.9% of windows games work on linux.. and its much better than WINE ever was. Just enable steamplay. The downside is the game must be on Steam. Cannot be EPIC game store or the others. That said I always had most of my games on Steam and I can honestly say.. I will never upgrade to Windows 11 which is buggy as hell and a hot mess even 6 months after launch. Nvidia already puts out drivers for linux. I can already browse, shop, watch videos and movies and bank in linux mint. Android is basically linux and I've been happy with android phones forever. Also figured out how to use virtual on screen keyboard in thai so the missus will be happy. Doesn't hurt that I don't have to pay for MS Office with Libre Office/ Open Office and can use GIMP instead of Photoshop. And now I can game on it!! Most of all I like that there's a good community to get help from https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewforum.php?f=143 So when the day comes and windows 10 is done getting support from games (approx 4 years from now).. I'll be switching to Linux Mint full time.
  13. Gonna get my second booster this week.. I don't want to take a chance when I'm in LOS starting next month.. better to be safe than sorry!
  14. And I'm booked for next month..
  15. I'm just hoping by next month we don't have to do that 1 night stay in hotel either.

Ultimately, the policy should cover the cost of treatment and other medical expenses associated with being infected with COVID-19, including in-patient hospitalisation, hospital isolation, hotel isolation, or related quarantine. The insurance policy should also cover the whole duration that travellers are planning to stay in Thailand, plus at least 10 extra days as a precautionary measure in the event that the traveller’s second test result returns as positive. A proof of prepayment for 1 night of accommodation at government-approved hotel/s; such as, SHA Extra Plus (SHA++) on Day 1, which should also include the expenses for 2 COVID-19 tests: an RT-PCR test upon arrival (Day 0-1) and an antigen self-test on Day 5. If testing positive they must get appropriate medical treatment. All travellers must download and install the MorChana application, and set it on at all times for the COVID-19 precautionary measures and to record the self-ATK result on Day 5 in the application. *The self-ATK on Day 5 will not be required if the traveller’s length of stay is less than 5 nights, or his/her scheduled international departure date out of Thailand is on Day 5 or before. For example, if the traveller plans to stay in Thailand for 3 days, then he/she does not have to report the self-ATK result, but he/she must leave for another country immediately. However, the traveller may be required to take another test depending on the airline and the final international destination.

OMG just realized this thread had pacman in it. Where's he been? Haven't heard from him in a very long time!

Honestly haven't watched the oscars in a very long time.. The Dark Knight not even getting the nomination for Best Picture alienated me big time. But I understand Will Smith's reaction although I'm not exactly a fan of either person. Wouldn't be surprised if they were both not welcome at Oscars for a while since it takes 2 to tango.
  19. Yep this is only a few days ago and bouncers from Tree Town did this:
  20. Translation: you need to pay him and he'll clean it up and replace some parts for it (like RAM, SSD HD and wifi card). Notice he didn't say anything about buying a new notebook lol.
  21. Maybe Ying didn't like him?
  22. BTW I know a change like this can be intimidating but this is what the interface looks like looking at this very forum. Hopefully puts your minds at ease if you're curious about it.
  23. Get an alligator and let them play together!
  24. Honestly.. it's probably overheating which is the problem with 99% of laptops. To save yourself some $$$ do this.. 1. Look on youtube for the exact laptop's dissassembly process so you can get access to its fan. 2. open the laptop while writing down where you took each screw out from as a guide to reassemble later 3. use a blower to get all the dust, lint, gunk out from the years you've used it. 4. reassemble the laptop with the screws using the guide where the screws came from. 5. If you don't have these already, buy a USB stick ($10) and a USB wifi dongle that supports 5ghz network ($10-15) 6. Using the USB stick, install any operating system you like.. and if needed the wifi drivers. Your Laptop should be good as new. Now the question of why Linux? Linux is easier on the hardware than windows which overheats it because of constant running stuff in the background. (really handy for old computers which don't really need minecraft or candy crush or weather apps hogging resources like windows does) The newer versions of linux look just like windows so no steep learning curve, basically if you know how to use a mouse to click links and a keyboard to type in google searches, you're set. The reason I liked Zorin OS and Linux Mint was that it came preinstalled with like 95% of wifi drivers so you likely won't even have to search for them to get your internet working. Wanted to keep it as simple as possible. Hope that helps! Edit: BTW Windows upgrades are designed in tandem with Dell/ HP to make you upgrade when you shouldn't really have to. As long as you can upgrade the wifi capability and hard drive to a SSD.. your old notebook really can last 15+ years especially if you change it to a linux operating system.
  25. Apparently Google has seen the need for alternatives to windows 11 So their ChromeOS is now FREE TO USE on any comp https://chromeenterprise.google/os/chromeosflex/
