Guam is relatively close to Manila and AFAIK has the exact same visa requirements as the USA while Samoa, also a USA territory, has a separate immigration system so perhaps it is easier for a Thai or Philippine national to get a visa for Samoa. Anyone know anything about Samoa visas? Medicare, a health program for retired Americans, can be used in both Guam and Samoa. Anyone know anything about the hospitals or rent in either place? annat555 Posted October 31, 2020 Share Posted October 31, 2020 Dare I point out that American Samoa is only a part of Samoan Islands, the other part which a member of the Commonwealth and was originally a German Colony that became part of the British Empire.
