Pdoggg
This year Loy Krathong falls on Halloween, a very rare occurrence. Full moon nights are wilder than most but with not many people in Pattaya it won't rock as in prior years.
bubba
I wonder what effect the political upheavals will have on the festivities this year, not to forget COVID19?
Pdoggg
"This is the fifth year of the event which will be held on October 31st. It will be the biggest bikini run yet and we expect many people will join. It will have a glow in the dark theme to fit Halloween and be run at night. ” Ronnakit added. The Bikini Beach Race 2020 will run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The event will be on the same day as Halloween Day, which is generally one of the busiest days of the year in Pattaya, growing in popularity yearly with both Thais and foreigners. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however, it is likely international tourists will be limited, if any, this year. Halloween makeup for free will be provided for people who join in the event. There will be concerts and a festival from famous singers until 11:00 PM on the beach. All events will follow hygiene standards for Covid-19. Pdoggg
It may be another century before Loy Krathong, Halloween, and the Harvest Moon will be on Saturday night again. So Jomtien was busy, especially the beach. Lots of krathong sellers on Jomtien Beach and parking spots were filled quite aways down Dongtan Beach. Mostly Thais as there just aren't all that many farang around. Not too many girls in traditional Loy Krathong garb nor not many people dressed for Halloween though.
