Laptops and XRay Machines

Question for the techies out there.........If a laptop is closed but not powered down can it be harmed by an airport xray scan?

Most laptops go into hibernation or sleep mode when the lid is closed. You can also set the option to have the laptop shut down if you close the lid. You only need to customize the power options.

X-rays will not cause any problems to laptops X-rays do not use magnetic waves, which would cause serious problems with laptops - whether on or off.
