In the early hours of Saturday a 35 year old British man, who was described by Police as intoxicated, was assaulted by a group of 3 Thai males, outside of a 24 hour convenience store in Central Pattaya.

 

Police were called to the store located in Soi Buakhao, just before 3.30am on Saturday and met with Mr. Lee Hontington who had sustained a head injury and facial cuts and bruises consistent with details of the assault he gave to Police.

 

Officers also spoke with the cashier of the convenience store who revealed how the man entered the store and begged for help. Moments later he was dragged outside of the shop and set-upon by the 3 young Thai men.

 

Police are checking security cameras in the area but have received few details from the victim as to the motive behind the attack. The investigation continues but for now the attackers remain at-large.

The full details of the assault on a 35 year old British Man in front of a convenience store in Central Pattaya last Saturday Morning, have now emerged following the arrest of three Thai men who are suspected of conducting the attack.

 

A press conference was held at Pattaya Police Station on Wednesday afternoon by the station Chief, Police Colonel Sukthat, who announced the arrest of Khun Biyalat aged 26, Khun Batipan aged 28 and Khun Pattana aged 24 who are accused of assaulting Mr. Lee Huntingdon outside of the convenience store located in Soi Buakhao.

 

However, Mr. Huntingdon himself is the subject of a Police Investigation as a 32 year old Thai Woman, Khun Tida, has formally reported him for indecently touching her prior to the attack, which was conducted by her brother and two of his friends.

 

She claims that she was walking along the street with her boyfriend, Mr. Mika Sauren aged 44 from Finland, when Mr. Huntingdon approached her and touched her inappropriately. He was described as being in an intoxicated state but the incident angered Mr. Sauren who approached the Brit. A fight between the pair began and it was claimed that Mr. Huntingdon threw the first punch.

 

Khun Tida called her brother to come and held and he arrived with the two other Thai men and attempted to break up the fight. Although the fighting stopped, as Mr. Huntingdon was walking away and into the store, he shouted profanities at the Thai men who dragged him out of the store and assaulted him.

 

The Thai men have been charged with assault and Mr. Huntingdon is currently under investigation relating to the allegations made against him by Khun Tida.

In which case he fully deserved a good slap plus further punishment from the boys in brown or judiciary.

I hope he has learned his lesson, but from his telling of things it would seem not. Hope he goes to Cambodia and tries this. He'll get his head kicked in by a mob. Probably has no idea how lucky he is.
