The game incorporates many of the aspects that come into play when living life as a bargirl. Money, making merit, gambling, diseases, holidays are just some of these many aspects.

Turns on everyday at noon, Bangkok time, with the first turn scheduled for Saturday, January 8th.

You can register after a few turns but are then at a disadvantage.

Part of the game is achieving Milestones:

Milestones

Certain events in a girl's career are memorable - for example her first barfine, her first Baht of gold, etc. - and the game recognizes that in the form of milestones.

Milestones are quite important in the game as they give high face amounts and as such it makes sense to try to get as many as possible. They are awarded for many different aspects of the game, including reaching certain amounts of barfines or wealth amounts, reaching certain levels of skill, doing certain things for the first time, or reaching specific goals for the first time, etc., etc.

Without giving away too much, there are a total of 45 in the game. Eight of them are related to barfining, ten to studying, twelve are linked to wealth, with the remainder linked to various minor parts of the game.

A new 5 turn "test" game begins on Tuesday, 11:59 AM Bangkok time.

So that would be 23:59 Monday night New York time.

The game orginator implemeted lots of new code so wants a short trial game before starting the next 30 turn game.

Good way for noobs to get their feet wet.

You register and set up your girl and submit your first turn orders before the start of the first turn. Then everyday you submit a new set of orders before 11:59AM Bangkok time on successive days.

Fenton's Monopoly post reminded me of the Bargirl Game.  Unfortunately it no longer exists but was quite fun.  I was involved in a controversy as the other players accused me of cheating.
