pdogg
Maybe the guy couldn't bear leaving his teerak behind? Thai Smile Air was forced to abort a flight to Hat Yai shortly before taking off when a passenger abruptly unseating his safety belt and shouting to jump out of the plane. The incident happened as Flight TG 2335 with 96 passengers and crews was taxiing on the runway of the Suvarnabhumi airport Monday awaiting signal to take off at 1.35 p.m. A passenger identified as 22-year-old Surin Langso, a resident of Satun province, rose from his seat toward the door and shouted to go out. The shouting frightened other passengers and the alerted pilot decided to abort the flight and taxi the plane back to the tarmac. All passengers were evacuated to the departure terminal and their luggage reloaded and transferred to another TG Flight 2261 which departed at 3.20 p.m. instead. A retired government official Krisanai Langrangsimakul said he noticed unusual movement of the man when he rose from his seat, walking around and shouting to get out. His shouts to open the door terrified other passenger and forced the pilot to return to the tarmac and evacuate all passengers to another flight. The man was later detained by airport security guards and the airport police. Police said the man had air ticket so they have not filed charge against him as he remained unstable and might have mental problem. THAI acting president Chokchai Panyayong apologised to passengers for the inconvenience caused by the evacuation and reloading of their luggage to another flight but confirmed the man has passed through normal security check as a passenger with proper ticket. http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/thai-aborts-flight-passenger-goes-berserk/ 1 Quote Link to comment
ArchieBunker
Well at least this schmuck had the decency to do it while they were on the ground. I wonder what type of reception he got once in ploice custody??? Some whacko just threatened to open one of the doors at cruise on a Southwest flight here in the US of A. BTW dont worry folks it cannot be done.......too much pressure on the inside of the cabin!!! 2 Quote Link to comment
DownLoLarry
BTW dont worry folks it cannot be done.......too much pressure on the inside of the cabin!!! How about if the plane is on the ground? In Central Festival Mall in Pattaya there is a 2000 baht fine for opening a fire door. I guess opening the plane door would cost a bit more. Quote Link to comment
ArchieBunker
The door will, of course, open while the plane is on the ground. If you are off the gate, the door should be "armed". That means the slide is engaged with the girt bar. The door opens, the slide pops and inflates. The slide will pop with gravity but there is a small pressurixed bottle that "explodes" the door open and inflates he slide. It will cost a lot of money and time to get the slide repacked. If this is done when the jetbridge is attached, it can cause serious injusry and even death!!!! 1 Quote Link to comment

pdogg
another recent incident on Thai Air Another day, another blow to the image of the mainland Chinese tourist. Two Chinese passengers picked a fight with a third yesterday on a Thai Airways flight because his eating noises were too loud. According to witnesses, three Chinese men in their 30s got into a brawl on the Bangkok-to-Beijing flight because one of them ate too loudly while the others were trying to get some sleep. The men shouted at one another before the fight started, at which point the loud-chewer defended himself with the fork and knife from his airplane utensil set. Loud Chew even managed to carve some gashes into the head of one of the Angry Sleepers, Kapook reported, who spent the rest of the flight laying on the floor, bleeding. The aircrew managed to separate the men and they were taken into custody by local police after landing. http://bangkok.coconuts.co/2014/04/18/chinese-passengers-fight-flight-out-thailand-again Quote Link to comment
