pdogg
Helps a bit Swedeman! But the problem is deeper and not jsut on Firefox. I seem to get redirected here on Opera: http://sendfwd.com/?dn=opera.com&pid=7PO2UM885 If I have a problem on two different browsers, maybe it is a problem with Mac settings? Quote Link to comment
pdogg
Also once I connect to website, be in LBR or Yahoo, thing are not so bad. But getting to any website in the first place is a major league hassle. Quote Link to comment
pdogg
The remote server refuses to perform the request. This address is not available. You tried to access the address http://www.facebook.com/home.php, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page. Make sure your internet connection is active and check whether other applications that rely on the same connection are working. Check that the setup of any internet security software is correct and does not interfere with ordinary web browsing. If you are behind a firewall on a Local Area Network and think this may be causing problems, talk to your systems administrator. Try pressing the F12 key on your keyboard and disabling proxy servers, unless you know that you are required to use a proxy to connect to the internet. Reload the page. Quote Link to comment

pdogg
It's almost impossible to get to any website, CNN, ESPN, whatever. But once I am on a site, then it's seems easy enough to navigate. Quote Link to comment
Swedeman007
pdogg, have you tried uninstalling, and then re-installing the browser that is giving you a hard time? That may help? -Swedeman007 Quote Link to comment
Hoot
Hard to say from the description PDogg. You didn't mention what you've already done to diagnose the issue. Did you check your wirless settings after the switch... is connected to the correct network - and didn't default to another? Did you try turning wi-fi off, wait 20 or 30 seconds and switiching it back on? Have you restarted the mac since the new network came on line? If your wifi connection seems to look good, I'd try the Network Diagnostic Tools...see what it finds. It should run the checks for you and try to fix the issues itself. Apple menu > System Preferences and click Network. Click Assist me, and then click Diagnostics Quote Link to comment
