From my experience.. These are the meds you'll need primary to get over it.. but #1 DO NOT OVEREXERT YOURSELF.. if you start sweating when you get up or see stars.. take it easy.. (its a sign of heart working too hard) #2 Take the meds as necessary.. especially the acetomenophin (might be called Paracetamol in some european countries) #3 if you have trouble breathing.. see if a nasal decongestant helps.. if not go to the hospital. #4 There are some meds available for covid now especially for elderly people - Paxlovid comes to mind but you have to take it within the first 5 days of getting covid. Ask your local pharmacist if they have it. #5 Try and order food rather than make it yourself.

I wear the N-95! I won't trust the cloth one. Funny enough now that you mention it.. I wondered why the missus got it first. She didn't like the N-95 for the long duration on the plane so she wore the cloth one and yes she got covid first. Cloth masks are indeed useless.

After 2.5 years I was fed up and thought I could risk it with Omicron. I made the trip to Thailand fine. Till I got on the return leg and then US immigration. The flight attendants were unmasked. The US immigration queue we were all told to take off our masks and there was no social distancing. Guess what.. she got COVID and then 2 days later I had COVID. Today for the first time my Rapid Test was Negative (after 9 days) but PCR is still positive. Still have some symptoms. You know most of the symptoms list I imagine by now. Worst symptom is as soon as I stand up and walk.. start seeing stars, feeling dizzy and sweating.. in other words covid has totally sapped my strength/ endurance and my body feels like its working too hard. I haven't lost my sex drive but in this condition sex would like a real chore. (I never thought I would say that). I would guess would be at least a week from now that I'd be able to be able to perform much less enjoy sex. So that's the risk you take with taking a trip for COVID. IMO if you're going to make a trip.. make it at least a month long so if you do get COVID and have a long bout like mine, you still have 2 weeks to enjoy your trip on the tail end.
