The activities are starting soon! See the screen capture below. August 12th, 22nd, and 24th events are in Pattaya. 16th, 17th, and 19th are in Bangkok. Keep an eye on their facebook page for the locations, which will be announced. A few of these events will be open to public, so no payment necessary. Some of these events will be ticketed - and this should be on their Facebook page soon as well. All the contestants have their introductory videos uploaded now to the MIQ2024 Youtube channel, and they all have their instagram pages set up. Also note the contest will be streamed, and also time delayed broadcast on Thai TV Channel 3.

There will be a segment starting soon, for MIQ Internet popular - so keep your eyes open for that.

My pleasure Rom - always good to have accurate information to formulate a good strategy. Yes, it is very pricey for the finals on the main floor, and even the balcony tickets are not cheap. Taking Fang (alone) to the preliminaries is a good idea. The preliminaries tickets are not likely to sell out but the Finals night most likely will be as per previous contests. Good luck with your planning!

There are different ticket packages available for the contest including accomodation at Woodlands, preliminary round, final round tickets, and an after party. There are also just the tickets alone. 5000 Baht for VIP seats (main floor), 3800 Baht for regular tickets (balcony seats) for the finals. As per the screen captures from the Miss International Queen Facebook page - things get updated so it is best to check periodically to see what has changed.

Thanks for sharing Rom, interesting how tastes can change over the years! Yes, she is a beauty! As more photos and videos are posted, there will be more of the "regular" photos - not as heavily processed, filtered, and hopefully more with light makeup so we can get a better idea of what they really look like.

Thanks for sharing Dan - the first transgender Filipina flight attendants were hired by Cebu Pacific in 2019 - Mikee Vitug (left) and Jess Labares (right) in the photo below. Jess Labares was also Miss International Queen Philippines 2020 and was in the top 10. It seems she no longer works for Cebu Pacific and is now the owner of Jess Beauty Salon and Spa.

That is a good suggestion - many years back one TLF forum member was rumored to hook up with Miss International Queen Indonesia as he was staying at the same hotel as the contestants (which I think was not the Woodlands resort back then). This would be a bit challenging as they are supposed to be chaperoned - but if you catch the eye of one of the contestants, who knows what can happen! The other thing is that this contest is not restricted to postop transgenders. There have been preop contestants in the past, but their status is not usually made public. I would say Miss Vietnam is my 2nd choice - very cute looking!

Yes, she does have a great smile - as I mentioned before I am cheering for Thailand - I found some more information about her background as posted on The Pageant Empress Youtube channel. Clearly she is very determined, having won Miss Tiffany Universe after 5 attempts, starting 2019.

Thanks for voting Ciobha - there was another contestant back in 2010, Jenna Talackova who represented Canada plus a few more over the years. Jenna finished in the top 10, and she also made headlines by competing in Miss Canada Universe (back then under the Trump umbrella). She was disqualified, but hired Glora Allred to sue. She was allowed to compete before the case went to court. She made it to the top 12 that year. This year, Miss Canada and Miss USA are Filipinas, just FYI. Miss USA was also the winner of Miss Nevada 2021 and went on to be the first transgender contestant in Miss USA. 2010 was one of the years I attended MIQ and took photos - Jenna's evening gown and swimsuit photo are below.

Not all the contestants are in Thailand yet. I believe they will all be arriving in the first week of August, and then you will see announcements of promotional events and more videos. The contestants are starting to post their introduction videos here: Miss International Queen Youtube channel and on their personal Instagram pages.

Not surprising as these were the "glamour" photos for their introduction. If you want to view more photos/videos - check out the MIQ facebook page as they will be having more events as the contest gets closer. Likely not as heavily filtered and photoshopped. Also each MIQ 2024 contestant has their own instagram page.

I think it will be a strong competition this year as many of the candidates are quite glamorous! I am cheering for Thailand - as they haven't won it for a while. An interesting note is that Miss Thailand is a flight attendant for American Airlines, based in the USA - and of course her English has to be quite good.
