  1. For anyone who wants traditional western food, Lin's on the main road south out of town, just before Soi 8o does and a great small breakfast for 150 B. There is a big breakfast also, but the small is pretty sufficient. The small breakfast, minus the tomatoes as the other half fancied them. Soi 8 0, a bar street about 10 mins stroll away from the main action.
  2. Interesting observation you made earlier Pacman regarding ladyboy bar mafia. Just back from Hua Hin and noticed how the LBs there rule their own turf and outsiders are not welcome. I guess this can be seen in a few bars around Los, where the same old faces get posted time after time whereas new faces seem to come and go rather rapidly. Maybe a topic in itself, who really has the last word on who stays and goes, the owners or the LB union.
  3. Just got back into Patts. after an enjoyable short break over in HH. The LB scene is much the same as it usually is, but I was surprised, pleasantly by the talent in Caddy Shack bar. We went by mini van, which all things going well takes about 5 hours from Pattaya Tai (100 B, 2 hours)(will post a photo later) change over at Victory Monument (Ano Sa Wa Lee) and another van to HH (180 B, 2.5 to 3 hours) For anyone who likes seafood the night market on Dechanuchit Rd is a great option with plenty of outdoor restaurants selling the day's catch at reasonable prices. My regular place is Ko restaurant.
  4. Will try to get a few shots to capture the occasion for all those not in Los.
  5. Don't mention it and good to have you on board Vasilli. Plenty of guys here who you met a few weeks ago. HH is a nice option for a quiet few days, I'll post some shots from around town when I get back to Patts.
  6. A fine tsunami of photos from the night Mardhi. Good to hear the evening went off so well.
  7. It's a good spot to combine both, ie relax and some Lb action.
  8. ... you're sitting on Hua Hin beach and the girl with you says an ant has just bitten her balls and you are more concerned about the bite than the fact she has balls.
  9. It struck me talking to a mate last night that by hanging around the LB scene too long we begin to acquire trivial knowledge that we would be oblivious to back home. So it got me thinking of making a list of things we know from being around the LB bars etc that we would not know otherwise. So I'll start of the list: You know you have been around the LB scene too long when; You know who Nicki Minaj is.
  10. The bar is on Soi Selekam on the map courtesy of the HHAD site.
  11. And Dow, seems something for most tastes, more to come hopefully.
  12. Although there are a sprinkling of LBs in the various bars around the bar square/area iin HH, only one bar is more or less all LB, the Caddy Shack Bar. The talent is quite good and it's well worth a stop off if any of you find yourselves in town. There are about 7 or 8 working there although it could be slightly higher as some come and go and it's tricky to establish who is working and who is visiting friends. Here are 4 girls on the staff just now. First off is Nat.
  13. These bad boys were spotted at Paeng's birthday party mid week. Only in Patts eh.
  14. The only pain I am feeling right now is an iffy stomach in Hua Hin, so I guess you will pass on that one. Some final shots from this very enjoyable night.
  15. Dazed&confused and myself popped in early one evening during week. There were about 7 LBs there and Som, who had a drink with us told us the boss is hoping to employ more in the coming weeks along with added GGs. The music is the same as before and unless you knew better you would never know there had been a change of ownership. So the good news is the place is as good as it was in the old days, will keep you all updated.
  16. in my recent trip report there are various references to meetig her after work. Not a real wife of course
  17. Guess you didn't read my as it happened TR.
  18. Good to hear so probably catch you in 8 weeks and 6 days then.
  19. Just stumbled upon this online while chilling In HH. It struck a chord, something to consider perhaps, especially for guys who lose sight of what's real when caught up in the fantasy that is Los. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles roll ed into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’ The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.. ‘Now,’ said the professor as the laughter subsided, ‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things—-your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions—-and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.. The sand is everything else—-the small stuff. ‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn. Take care of the golf balls first—-the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand. One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, ‘I’m glad you asked.’ The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.
