Capital One 360 which was formerly ING has a great Black Friday Promotion where you get 100 bucks for free for opening an online savings account with them and also 100 bucks for an online checking account.

 

I have had good experiences with Capital One.

I tried to open an account with Ally back in the States and they made it so difficult that I gave up.  As I recall they wanted a copy of my electric bill but I was sub-leasing.

 

Ally generally has a higher interest rate than Capital One 360 but for small amounts of money the $100 bonus is more important than a slightly higher interest rates.

 

Brick and mortar banks give you a toaster; Cap One a hundred bucks.
