I have contacted schools and have set up so that for 13 weeks they will put me up in Pattaya. I can join the Rotary and help instead of sitting in the bar. Need Banking advice, Living advice along with income and taxes.
azza33
Good luck, TM. I like & use kasikorn bank (pattaya klang branch) - staff are always happy and helpful.
pdogg
Kasikorn is the easiest bank in which to open a new account. I'm not sure but I think the first 8 0,000 USD dollars you earn overseas is tax free. However any IRA distributions would be taxable. As a Texas resident there's no state tax. You might want to look into 72(t) plans for iRA distributions. Rent is cheap in Pattaya, no worries there. Good luck T-Mac!
