  1. Today´s Rum Update: Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva - Rum A very nice Venezuelan dark golden rum, distilled from molasses in a copper potstill before 12 years of ageing. Rich, sweet and fruity, just how we like 'em. Fantastic quality for the money, Diplomatico was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2007 Ministry of Rum Tasting Competition.
  2. Don Papa - Small Batch Rum A richly flavoursome rum from the Philippines. The rum itself is made using sugar cane grown on the island of Negros in the Philippines and matured in oak barrels for 7 years, after which it is blended and bottled. This is packed with vanilla flavours and a hint of spice. If you like a very sweet rum, order the Don Papa.
  3. Some of our Lovely Lady´s tonight: Mona Poy and Mona Poy Bee Anny Powder Dao Jessica or Chick Nancy
  4. Wild Turkey 101 - Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey This bottling of Wild Turkey has been aged for at least 6 years before coming out of the barrel at 109 proof, it is only diluted slightly before bottling at 101 proof with plenty of pep. The palate is full and rich with notes of cigar box sweetness, pepper and caramel. The finish is long and rich with spice and toast notes.
  5. Wild Turkey Rare Breed - Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Wild Turkey Rare Breed was upped in strength to 56.4% in 2015. Blended from barrels of six to 12-year-old bourbon and bottled at barrel proof with no added water, Rare Breed has a rich, yet mellow flavour despite its high alcohol content.

  8. Yes, some people pay crazy prices for a 10 year old whisky (that costs today in the new botteling the same as before maybe about 30€). Sometimes like you say because of novelty or as collectors interest. But sometimes the Whisky in the old botteling had another (maybe better taste) than the new botteling. (this can happen because the quality can change over the years). I and also other people experienced that with the Johnnie Walker Green Label. Its still a good whisky but the older botteling tasted better. I think the reason why the blends are selling better is simple: They are cheaper and get more advertised. I never saw a singlemalt advertise on the TV here in Germany ( i dont know how it is in other countries).
  9. Highland Park 12Y - Singlemalt Whisky Highland Park 12 Year Old remains one of the gold- standard malts for other distillery bottlings to aspire to. With a delicious sweetness (heather-honey is their preferred description) and a warming, silky mouthfeel, this is a whisky that never lets you down. You get rounded smoky sweetness and full malt delivery. The finish is teasing, heathery, delicious :-)
