It seems I'll be moving to the Pattaya area around mid-December, and have a chance to rent an apartment (good size, nice price) in Pratumnak. What can anyone tell me about the area? It looks like it's halfway between Patts and Jomtien, but somehow just off the beaten track. For me, that would be a good thing, as I require a great deal of peace and quiet - with occasional bouts of D & D (that's drink and debauchery, not Dungeons and Dragons) thrown in for good measure - for a few months. pdogg Posted October 14, 2011 Share Posted October 14, 2011 Unless it's a special deal such as a friend's house or if you'll be renting a motobike, I would pass on Pratnumak. It's not near a regular baht bus route so your transportation cost will be quite high with some baht bus drivers asking 150 baht at night to go from South Pattaya.
