Free WiFi service for people next year

 

People across the nation will enjoy free WiFi services beginning April next year as part of a New Year gift to Thais.

 

Government deputy spokesman Maj-Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd said the gift is offered by the Information and Communication Technology Ministry (ICT) as part of the military junta’s scheme to return happiness to the people.

 

Under the free WiFi service, 130,000 WiFi hotspots will be installed across the country to provide access to the Internet, he said.

 

The ICT expected to finish installing all hotspots and launch official services by April next year, he said.
