mardhi Posted June 23, 2014 Share Posted June 23, 2014 No effect whatsoever on Lao folk. It is affecting Vietnam, they are only getting one 14 day visa then they have to go back to Vietnam. Thus far, aside from couple hissy fits in Phuket and the Myanmar border for Westerners, its business as usual, despite what people on Thaivisa tell you. i.e if a guy in Pattaya does a in/out passport stamp Bus run to Cambodia - they are operating exactly as before and you get another 30 day stamp if you are from some G7 countries and 14/15 days otherwise, at least for now. There is concern, my GF is Lao and has to do this every month - she said its Russians, Vietnam and South Korea who are getting much more attention.
