  1. Lung, thanks for telling that story mate. All too often you hear and at time see with your own eyes how thai lads react when they don't understand when something has went wrong or someone makes a complaint. The first thing they do is try to wave /shrug it off, then when you persist, they become aggressive and try to as you say, intimidate you in backing off. Thing is though, if you do back off, they often become more aggressive. They see it as they have one over on you and this is their way of exerting more dominance over you.

So, I too am happy to read your story that western lads are giving their own back.

  2. For a good Italian place, try the L'Italiano on Walking Street near to Lucifer.I have been there several times each trip and also brought my Italian workmate. He agrees with me it is very good and serves authentic Italian cuisine.

  3. I'm more of a watcher as it sprays up over a foot or so, or into the hair which I get a great laugh at.. The last time I was able to do that was about 20...

Tried the swallow a couple of times but hate the taste, texture and smell... Each to their own I guess..

    Onwards & Upwards

  4. Nice tutorial BB. Photography is a hobby I certainly enjoy but don't do nearly enough of it. I bought myself a FujiFilm fs100 bridging camera on the advice of bigtel, as he had one similar and loved it.

My camera is a fixed lense 28mm - 400mm meaning I am able to take a variety of shots close up and at distance without the need to change lenses. We all know that the lense is the expensive part of this hobby unfortunately and for those more seriously into it, I expect them to go for the canon, nikon or olympus (various models) where they can have multiple lenses for specific landscapes, portraits and glamour. Also having different filters also helps depending on the setting.

I'm still learning about the features on my camera, but it's still fun getting out there and snapping away.. Practice makes perfect.

  5. Cheers for the appraisal CW.

Just a wee bit background as regards to me and Baby Boom.. I first paid the place a visit when I read the news on the forum. Looked a good venue and staffed by some nice talent. Having had a long chat with the owner, Josh, I thought that this place could be a firm contender to the other haunts we all visit.. It was during these conversations that I found out Josh needed a cashier and as would have it, I thought Eve would be perfect for this position. Most of you know of the history between Eve and I.

I enjoy larking about, photography, meeting my friends and meeting new people. Josh had asked me if I would post any pics I took to establish the place on our LB map and drinking holes... I had no problem helping out whilst I am here in LOS, as I would with any of the places we visit.

    All the best

    Jacko
