Everything posted by La Bamba

  1. Just a few updates. WiFi is available in all the guest rooms now, although reception tends to be better near the front of the building. Also, the La Bamba ladies have been busy during low season, sprucing up the guest rooms a bit with fresh paint, wall decorations and whatnot. Here, for example, is Room no. 1, as it is now designated (formerly Room 31). As you can see, compared with the photos above, the rooms look a bit different. Also, they are now equipped with flatscreen TVs (as seen below).
  2. Three things: 1) Thanks, Khun 67, but trumpets may imply size; don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. As I say Anna was quite modest in her choice. In fact in her house dress last night, if I hadn't known she had gotten her breasts done, I might not have noticed at all. I'll get some pictures up as soon as she'll let me, 555. 2) It's on the calendar, but I'll mention it here, too: Friday, September 20, is Nok's birthday! Details are still being finalized, but you can rest assured the girls will celebrate as only they can in La Bamba. Of course there will be the usual: food and a cake at midnight, lots of bell ringing and whatnot. So come help us celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the owner and hostess with the mostess. 3) Here's the film noir shots posted on the website, recently: Come hither, says Miss Leya: Miss Anna and the million-watt smile: Sultry Miss Jen: Knock-out Nancy: The aforementioned hostess with the mostess (legs): The face (and body) to die for, Miss Sindy ... And here's Miss Niew again, just because we like this one: Even the fish are impressed:
  3. We'll be kicking out the jams, so to speak, to celebrate the birthday of La Bamba's owner and hostess with the mostess, Ms. Nok.
  4. Just to let everyone know Anna's recovering nicely from her breast augmentation surgery. Although she's still not officially back on the job, she is hanging out in the bar tonight, getting caught up with her colleagues (and presumably getting rid of a touch of cabin fever, having been laid up for a bit at home). No picture just yet, as she was sans makeup tonight (thus the kibosh was put on that). But we can report that she didn't go crazy size wise, and they suit her well. Here's to her ongoing recovery!
  5. There are some new staff photos up at the website. I'll post some more here in the coming days. In the meantime, here's a peek of toothsome Miss Niew:
  6. 4:17 used to be a nice guy until he stopped drinking. Now he's just a grouchy dick. Seriously, he needs to go back on the sauce/coffee. It's same old, same old, Kevin -- it's the nadir of low season, and things are pretty quiet in Pattaya right now. But the bar is open and the girls are here, and actually we've had steady clientele, both in terms of the bar/customers for the girls and guests staying in the guest rooms -- we've fared better in low season this year than many bars, I'll wager. I actually have a small backlog of photos to post, and there was *supposed* to be a shoot on the beach today, but the cats could not be herded. I'll get around to posting them eventually. What else is new? The plumbing was fixed ... again ... recently. And some of the rooms have been updated with new coats of paint, etc. And that's about it. ...
  7. Just a reminder the bar will be closed Monday, July 22 and Tuesday July 23 for two Buddhist holidays, Asalaha Bucha Day on Monday and the beginning of Buddhist Lent, Khao Pansaa, on Tuesday. Bars are banned from selling alcohol on those days, and we're hearing that the po-po are looking to crack down on bars staying open selling soft drinks. However, there will still be some girls lurking about out front, I imagine, if you're looking for a friend ...
  8. Imagine your favorite La Bamba lady as a film noir femme fatale: There's more up at the La Bamba website. ...
  9. A few new candid shots up at the website. Will post them here eventually. Here's one to provide incentive to follow that link, in the meantime, if you can't wait. ... As you can see, there's more to the lovely Niew these days (L to R: Leya/Ying, Niew, Anna): And here's La Bamba's latest resident (grouchy bastard that he is):
  10. Just a reminder/to let you know if you haven't heard already. La Bamba will be closed this weekend, Saturday, Sunday and Monday -- June 8, 9, and 10. As mentioned above, Nancy's brother is entering the monkhood, which is a very important event for the family. To help celebrate, all of the girls are heading up country to help their friend and her family mark the occasion. The bar will be open as usual Friday, June 7 and will open again on Tuesday, June 11. P.S. Anna and her million watt smile have been missing-in-action for a few weeks. Happy to report she is back:
  11. Hate to burst the bubble, but La Bamba will be closed tonight, even to knocks on the door from friends. I just talked to Nok and Annie, and they were surprised by the po-po crackdown last night; apparently no bar owners were expecting to have to close at midnight last night. So they don't feel it's worth the risk, and the bar will be closed.
  12. Thanks to everyone that stopped by late last night, including our friends from Sensations. Sorry things couldn't go on longer, but with the local po-po out in force and enforcing the holiday shutdown ... Speaking of which, the bar will be closed tonight as well, for the Buddhist holiday. Also wanted to let everyone know that the bar will be shut the second weekend of June, June 8,9 and 10 (Saturday, Sunday and Monday). Nancy's brother is entering the priesthood -- becoming a monk. If you aren't familiar with Thai culture, this is of huge significance for a Thai family. Anyway, all of the girls, including Nok and Annie, are traveling up country with Nancy to celebrate and mark the occasion -- thus the bar will be closed that weekend.
  13. Here's more from Nan's birthday party. These have already been posted on the La Bamba website. But if you haven't seen them yet/couldn't be arsed to click through, here they are, a metric shit-ton worth. Of course to see the rest of the wardrobe change shots, you will have to be arsed, 555. You know, it's not uncommon to hear that people new to the scene/Pattaya have trouble finding La Bamba. I'm not sure how this happens, because this: How could you miss these ladies when walking down Soi 13/1? I could understand Helen Keller not finding it, but anyone else ... Anyway, there was a wee wood sprite named Toei lurking among the greenery imported for the party: Jen, as always, looked amazing, and even hotter than before, thanks to the new bangs/fringe hairstyle: Here's Anna in b&w: And Anna and Niew: Speaking of Niew, the camera loves her, so here's a portrait. And I couldn't decide on which I like better, so you bet both color and B&W: But what of the birthday girl? Here Nancy is getting her cake on: With Nok and Annie: But what's a party without champagne? But wait, there's more! (Nancy): One (of many) gifts: Who coughed up the tip?
  14. There's a few more photos up on the site from Nancy's recent birthday party; later in the evening she decided a wardrobe change was in order. To convince you to click through, here's one:
  15. Hey kids, before the tosspot tossed backed too many pots of Sangsom, he took some photos of Nancy's Birthday Party. You can find the first batch(!) of 20 or so up on the La Bamba Bar and Guesthouse site, but here's one to peak your interest: Nom nom nom:
  16. A tosspot among tosspots. And I wouldn't worry about keeping on his good side; I understand all you have to do to get in his good graces is stand him a round, being a tosspot and whatnot. I shall pass along your regards, Monsieur Gazz; I know you will be here in spirit -- or is that spirits? And thanks to one and all again for the kind words with regards to the photos.
  17. Ta BB, PM. But whose this 4:17 guy you speak of? I here he's a right wanker. ... I'll be posting some shots from Nancy's party tomorrow night, both here and on the site, for those that can't be here in person. Stay tuned ...
  18. Okay, for those that couldn't be arsed to visit the website, here's the rest of the "official" Annie-approved photos from Wil's recent soiree. Also, don't forget: Nancy's b-day party is this Friday night in the bar. Nancy Jen The eponymous party honoree: Sindy Nok Anna Ying/Leya Niew Toy (Toei) The Fabulous Five:
  19. Thanks for the nice comments, guys. I'll be sure to pass them along to the girls.
  20. Hey kids, For those of you that missed out on Wil's party -- she's going home for a month or so, to visit family back in Isaan (it is low season, after all, and then there are the usual reasons, heh) -- the girls were dressed to the nines. There's a bunch of pictures on the La Bamba website; here's one to convince you to click:
  21. There's only one way to find out for sure, my friend. ;) I'm sure others will weigh in on the matter, however.
  22. 555, okay everyone, okay just calm down; relax -- no need to get your knickers in a twist. It's not like there haven't been parties on the same night before. Some will go to both, like myself, some won't, mai pen rai. To be honest there doesn't seem to be a lot of overlap between the La Bamba regulars and the Sensations regulars (there are a few of us, but not many), anyway. Besides this party isn't for customers so much as it is for Wil and her friends in the bar, as she is going home up country for the next month or so, so the girls wanted to give her a nice send off. Plans have already been made, and it was all done on short notice, so there it is; the other party wasn't a concern. Had it been some other occasion, I'm sure they would taken it into account. And you all assume that this 4:17 guy wields some sort of influence; let me blunt: he does not, 555. He's just some gobshite nerd who happens to be handy with a keyboard. Nok and Annie run the show, as always; and let me remind you, between the two of them they have more than a decade running bars and restaurants in Pattaya. As for the party conflict, as I say -- again, really not an issuel. If you cut through the Avenue and the alley in front of Balitaya on Soi 15 it takes less than 10 minutes to walk from La Bamba to Sensations (or vice versa). I know this, because I do it at least once or twice a weekend. If you cut through the empty lot behind Action Street, you can cut that down by a few more minutes. Pay 30 or 40 baht for a motorcy, and you can cut it down to a couple minutes. Those who want to hit both can easily do so; those that don't, mai pen rai. This one's for the ladies and Wil.
  23. Hey kids, Party in La Bamba on Saturday in honor of the girl you're too chicken to talk to, Miss Wil (aka View). Not sure if it's her birthday or what; I just got a text from the boss lady asking me to post this. So all of you guys panting over Ms. Wil, but too tongue-tied to say hi, there's not better time than at her own party, eh? BTW, I posted this in answer to a question over on that other forum, so for those of you confused about her name:
