To make things even harder for old fucks like me there seems to be a trend among young handsome looking guys going after traps/ non genders / non binaries, the GGs are adapting an androgynous look. Its really cool and interesting but alas no game for guys my age.

Spot on, seven.  I'm up to about 300 androgynous femboy sissies that I follow on twitter really just for amusement, and, more seriously, the various issues they face in their lives.  They sometimes speak of a new hook-up or boyfriend who only ends up going back to their cis girlfriend.  Needless to say, I'd love to comfort them in their moment of need but they wouldn't look twice at me.  Like the provocative femboy barista at my local coffee shop, who at least at this point knows to properly spell "soiboy" on my cup...

Those underboob scars are a turnoff for me. Also, if she lost 5-10 lb, it'd help her out.

I think they average an added pound for every 10 new subscribers they get.  Eventually it will get to the point of diminishing returns.  Then again, I'm sure there's a market for BBW ladyboys.

I found fairly a drastic solution to avoid annoying situations in bars. I just don't go to bars in Thailand. Full stop.

Sorry, but that "solution" is no solution at all.  One of the primary joys of being in Thailand is having a cold brewski while enjoying the sights, whatever those sights might be.

It's important to draw the obvious distinction between bars where working gals ply their trade and regular bars where being hounded is not really an issue.  Pattaya is a distinctive animal because of the high number of working girl bars.

I don't spend much time in Pattaya anymore, much preferring Phuket.  For the past decade I've spent most of my time in the southern-most part of the island--Kata, Rawai, Chalong, and even venturing up to Phuket city.  There is a very large expat community in this area with lots of mostly European nationalities represented.  Lots of different cafes, bistros, and sports bars where you won't be pestered by a working girl.  Now, if you do want companionship then there certainly are bars dedicated to that in all these areas.  Also, there are what I think of as "hybrid" bars.  These are bars where there are girls who are barmaids, but who are otherwise available as well, but who are not necessarily being obvious or annoying about it; they know that most customers just want a drink.  A good example are the various small bars on soi Sunrise that leads from the Chalong turnabout to the pier where the dive/fishing/party boats are.  In the late afternoon and evening these bars are frequented mostly by farang divers, fishermen, etc.  Although not in great numbers, sweeties are certainly there, but they won't bother you.  Also, they are typically in shorts and t-shirts and flipflops rather than slut dresses and platform heels.  Definitely a nicer and more chill atmosphere, at least to me.

Looking forward to hearing this old Thai gem next time I get back.  The missus never says it funnily enough, but as soon as I heard it it triggered memories of good times in general in Los:)

Now that's interesting.  That's the sound I make when I come!

  5. About 5 or 6 years ago I was at Sensations, the second Action Street location, the one next to Soi Buakhao.  There was a farang cross dresser playing pool with some of the girls.  He was in his 50s or 60s, I guess.  Large and not attractive.  He had long hair that looked to be his own, so maybe he was using being in LOS to transition?  He seemed to be a regular as everyone there seemed to know him.

Yes, I can see where being a bar owner in LOS would be a good niche for a CD/trans farang.  I could see myself scampering around in my Daisy Dukes keeping an eye on things....oops, too much information....

Let me tell you a little bit more about my postie friend:  She is from Roy Et and it is clear to me she makes a living as a premium prostie there and nearby Issaan towns.   Every single night she hangs out in the company of very young gorgeous GGs at fancy clubs and restaurants from where she calls me to show off.  I never once saw her (or photos of her) in the company of men but it's obvious she P4Ps.  I suspect she and her GG friends market themselves to local Thai rich guys who fuck them, pay their bills, and don't want to be seen much with them.  I don't know if my friend has a sponsor, but someone gotta be paying for the sex reassignment surgery, plus the bolt ons she got a year ago, likely facial botox, the iPhone, and all those plates of prawns and crabs and lobsters they order and don't finish eating...

I have to say, Rom, this information casts an entirely new light on the situation.  I felt my earlier advice was a little harsh, but not now.  She's doing fine, maybe better than fine.  You don't need to see her.  Enjoy your trip.

  7. Simple answer.  Omicron BA.5.  Sorry baby, but this new covid variant has me really spooked.  I've cancelled my up coming trip.

Of course, you don't have to cancel, but adjust your plans and stay well clear of anyplace she would be or any friend of hers would be who also knows who you are.

Also, while there are many things in life that simply throwing money at it isn't really the answer, ladyboys ain't one of them.  Send her a nice amount, wish her well, and give her the old, "Here's looking at you, kid."

It was like the old time parties, and the best since Covid crapped on the world. Full house, assorted cabaret and candle shows, some good food, and lots of fun and laughter.

Most photos were take before or late and after the main festivities as it was too difficult to move around and to take shots without most customers visible.

Ah, yes, the ladyboy tuck-but-can't-quite-hold-the-goods look.  Always a crowd pleaser.

This is a class warfare issue but nowadays people seem far more concerned with the culture war

And there lies the crux of the matter in the US for so many issues - "class."  The US has never really come to terms with the concept (and reality) of class.  Acknowledging class would be some how undemocratic.  Of course, class IS very hard to define.  Elements of wealth, education, occupation, political affiliation and others all play a part, but not the sole defining part.

Trump did not create the MAGA crowd, but he branded them and gave them a home in American politics; and a dear leader they could identify with and look up to.  "Hey, here's a president just as crass and ignorant as me!  I have been validated!"  Class is very much a key aspect of the culture war now brewing in the US.

I never understood this need for possession.

Yes, that is a strange thing for sure.

The only instance that I've heard of that made some sense is a guy who was going to be in Thailand for several weeks during which time he'd be doing some traveling around the country.  He wanted the full-time companionship of a particular sweetie he'd been with on a previous visit.  Not wanting the daily hassle of bar fines, he worked a deal with the bar owner on a "buy out."  The buy out price was negotiated down since the girl wasn't really being bought out but would be back in the bar in 6 weeks.  In this case the buy out was basically a better deal on a long-term bar fine.

Needless to say, though, being with the same individual for an entire trip is not for me.  But, in fairness to this experienced traveler, the sweetie was a looker, had reasonably good English skills, and served as a good travel guide.

Super hot, but I kept thinking oh no, oh no, don’t come in the dogs face. And then they went there.

Now I keep thinking about Mena patting me on the head and saying, "Good boy. Good boy. I take care you. I feed you milk. Come taste. I take care you."  Whew!

Indeed.  Sadly, Candy may be going down the typical road of so many ladyboys these days.  Silicone tits (usually too big and not well-installed) and way too much ink.  Boring.  Yawn.  Dime a dozen.  Move along, folks, nothing to see here....

    Indeed.

Cool. Not many know of him. I take it you're a ski bum? Hi hated the spotlight. I've never seen a person so uncomfortable with fame.

Don't you just love the stereotypes. I'll be cruising my Volvo to Ikea listening to ABBA tomorrow. Maybe a coffee with Bjorn Borg later on, he usually hangs out at the tennis club near my home.

I don't read a lot right now in the summertime but will keep McGuane in mind. Thanks.

I love skiing, but have never been able to do as much of it each year as I would have liked.  Extended stays in Thailand and then an extended stay during the winter out west in ski country was on the agenda before the pandemic ruined everything.  Stenmark had a legendary career, just as the phenomenal Mikaela Shiffrin is having her legendary career now.

Yep, similarly this last weekend I cranked up Charlie Daniels and drove my Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 to Home Depot to get some more sheets of plywood for the extension I'm building on my double-wide.  I stopped by my friend Bubba's to have a Mountain Dew and look at the pontoon boat he picked up at the Sheriff's auction last month.  She's a sturdy thing, with lots of coolers for beer and bait.

The Dude is a wise man. So glad he pulled through. My mom passed in 2006 at the age of 65  from non Hodgkins lymphoma , I watched her go through chemo and how fragile she was in the end. Its amazing he was able to fight covid right after treatment and beat it.

Jeff Bridges reflects on his cancer, COVID-19 battle and how he pushed himself to walk his daughter down the aisle

    https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/jeff-bridges-cancer-covid-walking-daughter-down-the-aisle-172447356.html

Jeff Bridges was "close to dying" last year when he got COVID while battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

The 72-year-old The Big Lebowski star, who's now healthy and back to work making The Old Man, detailed his health crisis in a new interview, beginning with the morning he was doing routine exercises at home and felt something in his stomach.

A visit to the doctor determined, "I had a 12-by-9-inch tumor in my body," he told People. "Like a child in my body. It didn't hurt or anything."

Though he's now in remission and back in action with the new FX series The Old Man, Jeff Bridges is reflecting on the back-to-back health crises that saw him battling both non-Hodgkins lymphoma and COVID-19.

Ultimately, his health scare has helped Bridges find gratitude and new appreciation for the human condition.

"During my illness, we so often said, 'That's not really I wanted; I wanted more of this,'" he said. "But just being alive, you know — seeing, hearing, feeling, touching ... If COVID has taught us anything, it's taught us that we're all in this together, man. We're all connected. and to feel that connection in the form of love coming at you, that's something else."

    https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/jeff-bridges-was-close-to-dying-after-getting-covid-during-cancer-battle-165546659.html

He was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system, and started chemotherapy infusions followed by oral chemo. The treatment was effective.

"They got a cocktail that worked, and oh, man — it worked fast," he said. "That thing just imploded."

However, in early January 2021, he received a note from the facility where he was receiving chemotherapy, saying he had been exposed to COVID while being treated there. Bridges, who was not yet vaccinated because it wasn't available, tested positive along with his wife, Susan Geston. The couple, married 45 years next week, shared an ambulance to the hospital, where they were placed in the ICU. Bridges didn't leave the hospital for nearly five months.

"I had no defenses," he said. "That's what chemo does — it strips you of all your immune system. I had nothing to fight it."

Bridges said "COVID made my cancer look like nothing." He was in extreme pain and couldn't even roll over without needing oxygen.

"I was pretty close to dying," he admitted. "The doctors kept telling me, 'Jeff, you've got to fight. You're not fighting.' I was in surrender mode. I was ready to go. I was dancing with my mortality."

Bridges started to improve after being given convalescent plasma therapy using blood from people who've recovered from an illness to help others recover. Slowly, he gained strength, began physical therapy three times a week and ultimately recovered. Shortly after, in September, he shared that his cancer was in remission.

Now, he looks back at that time period as "a bizarre dream." He's happy to be back working again, but said his greatest happiness is spending time with his family — his wife, their three daughters and three grandchildren.

"Who would say, 'I'd love some cancer and give me a dose of COVID?,'" he said of the ordeal. "But my ability to receive all the love and give it was just heightened. Everything was turned up in the most beautiful way."

Jeff Bridges is a genuine treasure.

BTW, some fun facts.  He met his wife while he was filming the 1975 cult classic neo-western, "Rancho Deluxe", which I highly recommend.  Look it up and watch.  It was written by the terrific author Thomas McGuane.  Look him up and read.

It's funny but sad how every country gets known for the superficial and inconsequential, yet popular.  True talent like Jeff Bridges and Thomas McGuane are little known compared to the Kardashians; like Ingemar Stenmark is little known compared to ABBA,

  15. I first came across this guy's YouTube channel a year or so ago when I heard about Top Gun: Maverick being made.  Ward Carroll is a US Naval Academy graduate and spent almost all of his career as the Radar Intercept Officer (RIO; the guy seated in back of the pilot) in F-14 Tomcats on aircraft carriers.  In the original Top Gun Goose was Maverick's RIO.

Mooch (Carroll's aviator callsign in the Navy) is a very interesting fellow.  After the Navy he became a writer and novelist and media person.  He was the editor of Military.com for several years.  He is also a huge rock and roll fan and a very good amateur guitarist.  He has over 150 vids on his channel and I've watched at least half of them, all really good.  Below are links to his channel, review of Top Gun: Maverick, and how aviators get their callsigns.  Look him up on YouTube, you will get hooked.
