They may be cispolyester, but identify now with other fabrics such as cotton or rayon as well and have no qualms about laundering with them, perhaps even with fabrics such as satin or silk. You know, sissy fabrics....

Edit: I just checked and "The Ian Tyson Show" was on CTV not CBC and the show continued until 1975.
From the 1980s onwards he increasingly got more into "cowboy" music as opposed to "country" music, per se. His song "Alberta's Child" has become sort of a de facto anthem for western Canada.
A really nice interview with Ian and Sylvia from around 2010 or so before he started to have a series of health issues. Terrific genuine talent who had quite a career.

Legendary Canadian folk singer Ian Tyson, aged 89. Ian and Sylvia were THE folk singing duo in the 1960s. My big sister is 12 years older than me, and was a serious folkie in her teen years during the late 1950s to mid-1960s (the epoch that immediately preceded the hippie epoch). As a mere infant/young child I subconsciously absorbed her folk music like a sponge.

Wow, this list does bring back memories. Some of these bars I never really understood the appeal, though. Not naming names - to each their own.
But, I agree on Check Inn Bar. There needs to be a retrospective on CIB in all its incarnations. They all had their charms. I believe there have been three - it started as an alco cart on Sukhumvit near Nana, then in a little alley between sois 5 and 7 (said alley is not there anymore I think?), and then its current location (or maybe there have been two current locations since the alley location?).
Oh, and Litas circa early 20teens. Remember those tall booths where you could get down to, as we would say in high school, some heavy petting? And the stairs to the short-time rooms upstairs. They were right behind that little bar, so when you came back downstairs there were half a dozen patrons staring at you! lol
And, yes, Cascades in its pre-Charades incarnation. That weird Flintsones decor and horribly loud music and mamasan always wanting her lady drink. Yep, Nana Plaza at its best!
