  1. This is an interesting report from CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Marketplace about the business of anti-Covid 19 news and products.

    I agree. So its selfishness.

I think I asked you this before, when Sweden asked its citizens to social distance, limit the size of gatherings etc. I believe you stated the majority of them complied.

How successful do you think such a strategy would work in the US?

  3. 10 hours ago, Pdoggg said:

Because of the toxic hate that exists in the US.

I think that may be a part of it, but I think there are also other contributing factors. A significant percentage of Americans are individualists. These American focus on self achievement, don't generally like the idea of doing something for the overall good of society if they cannot see some sort of gain for themselves. As a result, they disagree with government initiatives such as universal access to medical care, education, government oversight and regulation of business, etc.

In most other countries, the percentage of population that have this kind of attitude is much less, and this I think is a major part of the reason why we see these incidents in the US. Canada has had similar incidents, but when population is taken into account, not the same percentage.

You just proved my point again.

Your point is not proven - it is a fact that different countries have different views on things - you wouldn't see disputes over masks in Asian countries either. It is a fact that private business in North America can refuse service to customers that do not follow reasonable conditions - no shirt, no pants no tie, no shoes, no service from a higher end restaurant.

Wearing a mask is a reasonable condition to ask from a customer and if they do not comply, the business is well within the law to do this. The business is interested in reducing the risk that their staff don't get sick and/or don't pass an illness on to a customer.

  5. Here's part 3 of the video series from PolyMatter - very informative and possibly explains US Vice President Kamala Harris' recent comments that future wars will be fought over water.

I believe there are 114 boys born in China for every 100 girls.   It would appear that Chinese mongers could be on their way!

I speculated that this gender imbalance is going to make China one of the most biggest Asian lb countries in the world. Here are a few example videos that show some of the lb scene in China. Sorry for being off topic!:offtopic:

So not just famous for the Wuhan virus!

As an aside to this, it always strikes me that when you see videos of areas like Walking Street and Soi 4 in BKK, that the number of Thai girls way outnumbers Thai boys.

You are missing that Thai ladyboys are the "Thai boys" you don't see. However, they are still outnumbered by the number of ggs in p4p.

just what the HELL does that mean???? otherwise? otherwise than what???? I see NOTHING to "feel otherwise" about.  Are you saying it was not fair reporting? I mean YOU chose the word fair no? a regular ladies pageant? Are you saying it's not?  Really confusing.

If you chose to view the video on Youtube you would have seen this comment by the person who posted the clip:

    Quote

more libtarded insanity first they take over womens sports now this shit

Not exactly a positive view of the story, unless you think he/she meant otherwise. I am not saying it was not fair reporting, I was commenting on the original poster's comment.

Yes, and so, they dont help. I haven't seen one person using a mask 100% correct. On my flight home from Los a year ago the people next to me put the mask up on their forehead while eating, then down again after finished meal.  True story.

So then, you would prefer no one use masks because some people don't use them correctly.

What happened when they brought in helmet laws for motorcycles or seat belt laws for cars in Sweden? Did 100% of people use them correctly in the beginning, or did the authorities persist to educate the public so eventually these key safety items actually saved lives?

  10. There has been a major lack of understanding about mask wearing and reduced transmission of COVID 19 - which is explained well by Dr. John Campbell's video below. He is a retired PhD, nurse educator, former Accident and Emergency Nurse from the UK.

The reason why transmission occurs when people are using masks is most likely due to improper use, and if there are sufficient levels of N95 masks, the results would even be better if proper use is followed. Then the issue is, transmission is not due to mask wearing, it is due to improper mask use.

  11. Greatly appreciate your updates on the lb bars Papa Sam, we don't hear enough news about what's going on in Bangkok. However there's another 2 week lockdown ordered on all bars/nightclubs in Bangkok due to the "3rd Covid 19 wave". Hopefully this isn't the knock out blow for Straps and Obsessions.

  12. The Rising is a popular News Channel on Youtube and tries to provide a balanced view on the news. This segment shows an eye opening connection between the US National Institute of Health and the Wuhan lab, and that also gives a plausible explanation as to why there may not ever be a reasonable investigation into what really happened at the Wuhan lab.

And pics of Narisara Aonwang 23 displaying her exemption certificates last year and this year. Anyone know why she would have to attend every year?

Because the recruiters want to see a beautiful face every year?

The way the article is written it sounds like they must present their exemption each year to prove their are ineligible. Sounds weird as the army should have records instead of having them show up each year.

  14. China Uncensored is an interesting Youtube channel that posts opinions of what is going on with China, sometimes associated with news facts.

This video goes over a China strategy proposed by former US government official. The host has a good sense of humor and delivery style.

  15. Here's a report from Gravitas about two Chinese generals who have expressed their opinions on the direction Chinese foreign policy has taken.

    This was from July 2020.

The question is where are these generals now? Hopefully not moved to a re-education camp.

"The space that was Casanova is being worked on and it looks like reopening can’t be too far away. New signage outside is features three lines of script in one of the Asian languages. No idea what it says!"

The top line is Japanese, the middle line is Chinese and the bottom line is Korean. A quick run through Google translate shows it roughly gives the name of the bar in each of those languages, along with a brief description that ladies will be available.

It makes you wonder what happens to the staff when this happens.

Jojo who I met there was no spring chicken. Nice girl but assigned to the scrap heap of LB's I guess as of now. Back to Isaan or somewhere like it and try and earn a few thousand baht a month doing whatever?.

In normal times, they would typically move to another lb bar, however, with so many of the lb bars closed down, your guess that they moved back to the home towns is likely correct. The other option they have is to try and start up a small business. Some bar/cabaret lbs have started up their own street food stalls, but I think the majority have headed back to their home towns. One of my lb friends told me that Chaiyaphum (in Isaan) has had a large increase in the lb population over the last year.

  18. There is an excellent series of Youtube videos by Polymater that outlines China's reckoning is coming in the future:

The future videos will hopefully be posted soon.

As I said before China is a bad actor - the government has gambled on extreme nationalism (like a number of countries have in the past), in order to maintain control. While their army is the biggest in the world at 2 million and 0.5 million reserves, if the rest of the population, 1.4 billion become unhappy and unrest starts, it will not be able to control them and keep order.

What they are doing now with their hawkish approach to everything is attempting to focus the population on these "threats and attacks" on China as the propaganda proclaims, and of course it follows they will not cooperate fully with other nations.

Political and economic boycotts are not that effective - North Korea, Iran and Russia are prime examples. So what is the answer to all those who say China must pay, must be punished, must face the consequences? Short of war, which some of you seemed to support and now pulled back on, the real answer lies in the Chinese citizens - they are the only ones who will be able to effect change. Pretty much the same as the history of every other country. External forces hardly ever cause effective change in a country.

So then, the question should be how to convince Chinese people that their government is wrong? That is and what the real solution to these problems are.

In the meantime, the ticking demographic time bomb will also force change, but probably not in the time frame some forum members want.

    My original statement:

    Quote

Yes, we do disagree, and yet you have jumped to the conclusion that I am a China apologist or supporter. There is no doubt China is a bad actor, their actions in trying to expand their influence in Asia/Pacific and Africa are just as disgusting as the US and many European countries did in their pasts.

Thanks for your link to the video Rx. Highly appreciated!

I assume it's the same guy who runs this fantastic ladyboy website:

    https://lbnh.x.fc2.com ?

My pleasure Papa Sam, yes, the website you posted the link to is from the same guy. He has done amazing work, and is quite the detective. While he doesn't have all the past popular ladyboys in his database, he covers a lot of them. It's even better that he has posted an English language version. Truly a ladyboy fan who wishes to share with all other lb fans.
