The chief financial officer of troubled Bed Bath & Beyond has been identified as the man who jumped to his death from the iconic new Tribeca skyscraper known as the “Jenga Building,” The Post has learned.

Gustavo Arnal, 52, who was also an executive vice president for the struggling home goods retailer, plunged from the 18th floor of 56 Leonard Street on Friday, police sources said.

The 60-story building is best known for its purposely misaligned apartments stacked atop each other, resembling the popular game “Jenga.”

Shares in the Union, New Jersey-based business lost nearly a quarter of their value Wednesday, after the company announced a restructuring that includes store closures, layoffs and a possible stock offering.

Just wondering. Did Putin have a sizeable shareholding in this company?

    Asking for Oleg Nickinoff.

  2. Haven't been since Covid's destruction but recall that the minibuses used to be the normall from Pattaya. The price range was under 500 baht but the quality of the transport and more importantly the driver varied. I imagine things are no different now. Whenever I traveled there the arrangement was organised through somebody at a bar and I assume that is still the way.

It was a pain in the arse because living at Jomtien I was first to be picked up (travelled all over before final pickup in Patts) and usually last to be dropped off. The bus driver couldn't see the sense of picking up the furthest first and the nearest (to Koh Chang)  last. I wised up eventually and demanded to be dropped off as we passed Jomtien on the way back to Patts. Thai logiistics at work, I suppose.

The best way and most comfortable was to hire a driver with car. Cost was a lot more, about 3K baht one way but way quicker. If you had fellow passengers chipping in the cost was lower, of course. The time on the road was far less also.

All modes should drop you off at or near your resort.

  3. Lost for words on this one.

Like to watch her on Taiger. I surmise that she's more worldly than I first thought. Saucy, in a way.

I wonder how Tim will fare on his own show. Miss the interaction between him and the others on Taiger.

  4. Lita's "lunker" photograph? Enlighten those of us who don't have any idea what a "lunker" is, please.

Is it a North American term for a nice set of zungers or norks? (Oz terms for tits or boobies)?

If so, I'm guessing Lita is the one with the brilliant smile and fantastic norks, yes?

It must have been a sultry night according to the amount of titillation going on with the ladies.

  5. Nil desperandum, Aitch. Besides, her younger sistah may be starting tomorrow!

Further, that's probably a rug he's wearing. Imagine how itchy it must be wearing that during the Pattaya heat and humidity. There's also a possibility, if it be true, that it may come unstuck during a heated session causing the vixen to guffaw loudly. Which, in turn may lead to a severe cas of penile flacidity. One can only hope.

I think you have to go the nearest NBI (National Burueau of Immigration). Pay the fines and get the new docunents. Just becomes more complicated if your caught at the airport.

Yes. I'd met a Filipina on some friendship channel and visited her in Munoz City on Luzon. We travelled quite a bit and it was fun to experience the lifestyle. Saw the Marcos stiff in his glass coffin and some interesting towns. Travelled over the Cordilleras in a rickey old bus and joined in the usual roadside piss with fellow passengers.

Had the usual party to welcome me. Met a lot of people and paid for the welcome party, of course. :drinks:

She was keen to get the ring for the engagement. Whoa!!!!!!

Time for me to catch thee next bus out of town/city!

  7. I got stung by this about ten years ago. It cost me about 1000 or 2000 pesos. I was over by a day, I think. Also, I think that it may have been 28 days, i.e. not even an averaged "calendar" date.

Two years ago I had a new German made collapsible brolly, the short manageable kind, in my carry on luggage  at Manila airport. It was worth about 800 pesos. It was raining heavily. They confiscated that as a "dangerous object"! Thieving bastards!

  8. "If you can't be with the one you love then love the one you're with!"

    Now who sang that?

    Wise words I'm thinking.

    :hi:

p.s. Just a suggestion - point your lens in another direction for a while (weeks/months) and see what occurs.
