  1. LBs I would say both ends of age spectrum: quite young, or old. But the former only for a frolic.

Older ones for company of any length of time.

Oldest one I have been with thus far would be early 30s, and that's nice.

But I harbour an aim to get involved with an ageing one, 40+ or so, long off the game if she was ever on it.

Mainly to learn about the lifestyle at that stage, see what it's like from their perspective.

  2. 87

    I reckon it's actually upside-down 87.

    Which would read right-side-up as upside-down 87, or upside-down 7 followed by an 8.

    Which is 78?

For upside down numbers go left to right as 91, 90, 89, 88, space, 86.

So the number for the space has to be upside down to fit the sequence.

    It can't be normal 87. Upside-down 87.

  3. I have to think about what home town means for me.

Having lived in Saigon now for 11 years, it is the place I call home. I have spent many a time swanning around with VNese LB on arm.

In previous life I lived in Darwin, a small city in Tropical Australia, for 20 years give or take. In a place like that, & teaching at the university, I was always capable of being known by people who I didn't know & didn't know they knew me. May sound silly, but I had a professional life & reputation - as well as the reputation of my employer institution - to think of, and would not have walked about with LB in tow. I did however, have the occasional one discreetly visit me at home late at night.

If by home town we mean birthplace, in my case Brisbane, also in AUS, then no problem I would think. I haven't lived there for 30 years, almost nobody there would know me now, & I guess I would - if I returned - feel the anonymity of the stranger. I'd be able to be carefree about doing whatever I liked.

  4. Indeed Sam.

BTW, I've noticed in a few posts lately I am referring to my native land as "here."

For those who may have twigged or noticed, & wondered, here is still very much Saigon for me. But I get all my news from online Australian sources, so when responding to issues my brain seems to have switched back to talking of "here" as though I'm still there.

Bear with me (or bare with me?) & my addled brain.

  5. Constitutional lawyer (professor) wrote a very informative article for us in Oz, saying we don't need a referendum. Subtle or not-so-subtle differences in constitutions, the reason. Here, unlike Ireland, we don't have social values, marriage, etc., written into our constitution. So we do not need a referendum to change the laws on such things. This would be the same for other countries whose constitutions are similar to ours & dissimilar to Ireland's, I guess. Ireland's past domination by RC church meant everything in constitution had to reflect their narrow view of the world.

Hence in Oz all we need is a decent tolerant non-bigoted parliament, to make the relevant change to legislation. Unfortunately we have a Nazi Party in government at the moment, and a weak RW pandering Opposition who also oppose anything to do with marriage equality.

Time will win out though. Opponents are very definitely on the wrong side of history. Every poll taken in Oz recently shows about 80% of population want marriage equality. This will lead to a lot of archaic, opposing politicians being looked on unfavourably down the track by their electors.

  6. I do have AC in bedrooms Sam, but I almost never use it. I find it dehydrates me & also I tend to wake up in wee hours with foot cramps from being too chilled.

    I am the little moaner, aren't I?

  7. By the solstice I will have been living full-time in Saigon for 11 years.

This lead-in to summer has been the worst season I have experienced in all that time. Usually normal temperatures (34-36C) but the humidity has been the killer. Muggy horrid oppressive days & the nights only slightly better. We are hanging out for the rains to start. Have had a few storms but nothing serious. This is a very late wet season, and it's taking its toll. Rashes on skin, lethargy, depression even. Not nice place to be.

At this time of year Saigon is usually well into our Wet, and the rainy cloudy days are often cooler than non-summer. But not this time.

So different from days of all you who live further from the Tropics.

  8. Yep. More than once.

The one I recall with some mirth was with Sandy from soi 6/1, a big beautiful girl from the Muslim south with a scary angel tattooed all over her back.

I asked her to come down my throat then piss on me. Primed her with a bottle of water first so she'd be fully armed.

After we washed off & dressed she told me so sweetly & innocently: nobody ask me to do that before. Hahahaha.

  9. Alex, I obviously don't know what research your boyfriend did, but it's the first I have ever heard of VN not tolerating LBs. They say they won't tolerate prostitution - but even that's a front - so they often associate the two. But I have never seen any intolerance for LBs, either from the general public or the police or authorities.

I have never encountered the situation of a LB from elsewhere entering VN, so cannot say about the visa situation. Presumably your Philippines visa has you ticked as a birth male? Dressed as a female on arrival may raise an eyebrow, or cause a grin or two from those in uniform, but other than that I cannot imagine a problem. If you and boyfriend are really worried about this, then just dress down for travel, in T shirt, jeans, no bra, no painted nails, no makeup (or minimal), etc, looking a bit boyish. You'd be fine then.

I know VN LBs come and go all the time, mostly to Thailand or Cambodia for sex work, often to former for body modification procedures.

I would be very surprised if you have problems.

Best of luck to you & hope it all goes OK.

I will try to do a bit of research into this myself, but cannot promise anything by way of results. We'll see.
