going north will be a little more of a pain, as will have to catch one on second Rd, it's going south that will be a real pita especially trying to get to somewhere like the Jomtien bus junction beside the school

That's the bar owned by big Ladyboy Patsy. You know, the one who dresses up in full slut wear, or cocktail dresses and stockings with impossibly heels, in the middle of the afternoon ( and the first ladyboy I ever had the pleasure of, back in 2005).I am sure somebody can share a pic or 2. She only works days, so probably wasn't around when this happened. And FWIW, the prices are a bit OTT for a soi 8 beer bar, but no excuse for this kind of reaction.
ya, I bought her lady drink back in December , don't remember exactly how much it was but DO remember it was a bit outrageous

Anyone know the Patsy Beer Bar on Soi 8?
A bargirl was enraged over a bill dispute and shoed a Brit in the face and tried to rip the dress off of his wife.
The bargirl claims the British couple didn't want to pay because the drinks were more expensive than at the 7/11.
The first part of the video shows the attack, then the boring middle part at the Soi 9 police station, then the cops go back to question the bargirl on Soi 8.
looks like she might have done a bit of muay thai in her time :)

i always only bought it for the informative articles in there anyways :)

Looks like Josephine Tan. Don't think she works out of any particular bar but if you look for her on Facebook you may be able to contact her there.
ya, i think it's her too and if it is just a, heads up shes expensive,, quoted me (in person in Thailand) , and others I know 3000 St and heard she will not budge on that

I am a big fan of Sailor bar on Soi 8, very cheap cocktails (60 baht) and cheap and tasty food as well

I've been to Action Street twice this trip. The first bar on the right (Pim Stars I think) still has a few customers and a LB or two. But it is pretty much a ghost town elsewhere.
I went to that bar once because there was a party with spit- roast pig, there were 2 Lbs 1 older and no so attractive , and 1 younger and not so attractive, I never went back :)

A bit off topic but you will have to show a passport to get any SIM in Thailand now, I bought a 49 baht DTAC Tourist SIM at Central Festival just to open a new Facebook account and had to show my passport.
I can't ever remember not having to show my passport for AIS

I've used a laminated ID sized copy of my passport as ID at TT loads of times never been a problem
Don't take any of that as set in stone though as logic goes out the window from day to day in Thailand , who'd have thought that you couldn't hire a sunbed on a Wednesday years ago ?
ya, I hear you that is why I will carry the reduced laminated one and have the other in room so if there is a problem hotel is right across from TT on soi Bukhao so can just run back a bit of a pita but it is what it is
-
Ok thanks guys, I heard on another forum that a credit card sized copy should work and i will also try full sized but not laminate so I can fold it and see what works best

Not 100% sure, but I know that Vasu and SuperRich exchanges in Bkk accepted a black and white photocopy of my passport. The important part is the page with your photo and passport number and details, and the other would be the number of your entry card or visa. You could trim down the pages just to the same size as your passport and fold it up. It might fit then
it's more the size of it not the colour I am worried about (I always carry colour just in case) and I forgot to mention that I always laminate my photocopies so folding would not be an option
-
Ok maybe dumb question, but here goes anyways, so I usually go to TT exchange and have always just used a colour full- sized photocopy of my passport to change money into baht with no problems whatsoever , so just wondering if anyone knows if I can use a reduced sized photocopy as I want to carry a smaller wallet this time if possible and a full sized copy would not fit into new much smaller wallet

I didn't hit too many LB bars on my recent trip, but one conclusion I came to is I personally prefer bars with an open front onto a soi rather than been locked inside an air con bar with only the trapped staff to look at. I enjoyed my one visit to 69 bar for this reason and the company was good also on this particular visit.
I do like open bars too but also enjoy closed in bars for the naughtiness they can enable

also check out Soi Lengkee off soi Bukhao (one soi south of soi Chaiyapoon) a few good value places :Opey de Place, Le Trafalgar, and J&P court come to mind
