Foreign crime gang activity increasing in Pattaya

By Staff Writers

Communications between the United States Embassy in Bangkok and the United States State Department, released by the whistleblower website Wikileaks and featured in the United Kingdom-based Guardian newspaper, highlight a disturbing growing trend of foreign gangs operating in and out of Pattaya.

The communication stated: “Thailand enjoys a rapid expansion of Russian tourists visiting Thailand but has to deal with an unwanted side effect - the presence of Russian organized crime networks around the popular beach destinations of Pattaya and Phuket.”

Whilst the cable highlighted the increasing presence of the Russian mafia in Pattaya, recent arrests of foreign criminal gangs have, surprisingly, been predominantly from South America.

Informed sources have also pointed to growing suspicions of a large Iranian drug network in the city, which Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) officers believe is the target of much of the recently seized drugs being muled in by Iranian tourists.

Pattaya One reviewed the available evidence of criminal gang activity in Pattaya during 2010, which backs up the disturbing claims that Pattaya is increasingly a foreign gang hideout.

The arrests of a South American gang of thieves operating in Pattaya made headline news late last year, when they were discovered in a house on a residential estate in East Pattaya with a large hoard of stolen jewellery, credit cards, laptops, cameras, gas bottles and blowtorch equipment.

Denying all knowledge of these items, the Peruvian and Argentine gang were arrested following the arrest of two more gang members in Bangkok.

The recovered items were claimed by victims from Bangkok and the surrounding area, and a Metropolitan Police 7 investigator believed the suspects were hiding in Pattaya, acting as tourists, renting vehicles and targeting luxury residences, before transferring money and valuables back to their home countries.

Readers may recall another arrest in 2010, of another South American gang of robbers, this time from Colombia, when one of their members escaped from police custody twice, once from a hospital, after being shot during his first escape attempt.

This five-man gang were thought to have links to another Bangkok gang, and they were believed to be responsible for at least 20 robberies in the Chonburi area. [more...]

I would agree that this competeition was probably the highlight of the 2009. The excitemnet started way before the event with a few of teams holding plenty of pracice sessions.

Yea the build up provided some good afternoons around soi 6 where Pooks practiced on the beach and Lucky Love on some waste ground on soi 6/1. These 2 teams took it the most serious and ended up in the final, with LL prevailing.

What an amazing day this must have been. I wish I had been there. Am I correct that these ladies are available to a gent such as myself, in my forties, good shape? Or am I dreaming?

It certainly was a fantastic day. One of the highlights of my LB career so far. Sounds like we are the same age, and you are in better shape. :D I have never been refused yet. Live the dream.

It certainly was a fantastic event for sure. Just to have such a big occasion and not take place in a bar.

As mentioned in another thread, the ladyboy bar volleyball competition took place in 2009, October 11 I think was the date. We were blessed with the weather, as although it was the end of the wet season, the days leading up to it had witnessed some serious rainfall.

Pooks

Along with the competing teams there was a great turn out of BMs for this wonderful occasion.

The volleyball competitions are a prime example of how one man's vision can make things happen. Hat's off to Khun Rossco for creating two spectacular events. :)

Picture the scene. It is the year 2112 and it's the opening day of the transsexual Olympics, being held this year in Tehran. :rolleyes: During the opening ceremony, Miss Transexaul World, this year's title holder is from North Korea, is making the opening speech.

During the speech she mentions the origins of the idea of this wonderful event and thanks those who started it all off, over 100 years previous with a simple volleyball competition on Jomtiem beach in 2009. With that a banner unfolds from the roof....a portrait of Rossco, to resounding applause. :P

The first event would no doubt be the pole vault.

Actually the guy was just there and said he couldn't find her......I have also heard from a friend that she is living with a Thai guy and out of the scene same as Kahuna said, so who knows.....anyway, I told him I'd help him out of I could.

BTW the number was no good, he tried it from the states and only got an older Thai lady.

It may have been her old number. She got a new one earlier last year, when she met her Thai boyfriend, and was very selective about who got it. I met her when she was opening her now defunct bar, she gave it to me, but said not to give it to anyone. Makes no difference now, as my Thai sim card is in Los, but I think finding her current mobile will prove difficult to achieve as I reckon not many have it.

The tourist base is mostly northern European, many Scandinavians. So far the Russians etc have not discovered this spot.

Top North may fit the bill for you Hound. Think around 700 a night and has a pool.

Nicer but more expensive lodging is the Raming Lodge, just love that name. I was quite pleased with the place.

Lastly, it moght be worth giving Pinky, one of our Profile girls a call. She is our very first profile but unknown to me.

She was one of the mentioned LBs I planned to ask when I see her online next. To be honest PD your suggestions are probably as good as any local LB might suggest. :D

Well after browsing the friends of LB members on the main forum, from Indonesia, on Facebook, I noticed how many of them had photos that included latex clothing, and the occasional whip. :D

Now I see where you're coming from BB. I doubt Ladyboy review will be still around in 2111 but it gave me a rush throughout my whole body that it is possible that we will still be active long after all the founding members have pased on.

Yes that's part of the main idea that I was trying to convey in the opening post, maybe it was not clearly stated. But it is quite a delicious thought, as you say, that we will live on as ground breaking frontiersmen of a new sexual awakening, one that will hopefully be accepted as more mainstream in the decades ahead.
