  1. It’s the star formation on the flags of Australia and New Zealand also I believe.  Interestingly Crux is a Latin word as the formation was known to the ancient cultures of the Northern Hemisphere.  Only found out this myself during the week, nice bit of trivia that may come in handy in a quiz some night :)

The bright stars in Crux were known to the Ancient Greeks, where Ptolemy regarded them as part of the constellation Centaurus.[1][2] They were entirely visible as far north as Britain in the fourth millennium BC. However, the precession of the equinoxes gradually lowered the stars below the European horizon, and they were eventually forgotten by the inhabitants of northern latitudes.[3] By 400 CE, the stars in the constellation now called Crux never rose above the horizon throughout most of Europe.

  2. Some nice looking girls there.  I have noticed the bar on FB also.  I see Palmy is there now also, actually one of the photos above is one I took when she worked in Delirious, good to see she is getting some further use out of those shots :):pic:

I only shoot in jpgs as they're easier to process. I hadn't got round to utilising the film sim so far so only STD,

Same here, I find Pro Neg Hi is good for portraits (auto white balance), Classic Chrome is another option and is very good for night streets scenes also.  That 35mm 1.4 gets good reviews for its colour renditions, I have the 35mm 2 which is good for low light also.

    Keep shooting :)

    Mona doesn't mind a bit...

Not sure about that, I saw her fun slap Sylvester in Delirious one night and I was surprised there weren’t stars spinning around his head afterwards…. mind you she was all dressed in leather that night so he had been warned :)

Are you shooting in jpgs Petesie, if so I’m curious what film sim you are using if this is one of your Fuji cameras.

I wish him a full recovery and may this scare make us all reflect how trivial it is the keyboard animosity some of us let ourselves be swept into.

You aren’t wrong Rom, sitting at home in the real world all the trivial nonsense that goes on on various Thailand themed boards seems so distant and irrelevant compared to what’s really important in life.  Wishing Petesie a full recovery from this setback.
