I am the very lucky few that lived in Asia and was working in Thailand during the pandemic but i still am not contented with my choices of LBs and had to explore the lovely land of PH. My opinion on the matter is worth nothing as I've never been to TJ's, but 1st I want to say that Aitch, whom I don't know, was doing a good job of promoting the place with all the photos he took. It ain't easy to be "working" while everyone else is drankin' and having a good time. That said, I might have found 5-10% of the workers in the photos MCOT. So whenever I made it back to Pats, TJ's wasn't very high on my list.
I am however, a big fan of spacious, smoke free venues (not sure if TJ's was smoke free), where there is music, but it's not so loud that you can't hold a conversation with a person 1 meter away from you.

Probably not relevant to those of you still not dealing with draconian measures, but for the past 2-3 years, I switched to booking directly with the airlines flying in/out of HK. Previously, I would have used other sites to find the "cheapest" flights, but since the govt was banning flights and a lot of carriers were cancelling flights, it was much easier to deal with them directly to get a new flight or refund compared to going through a 3rd party.

@Pulci Gorgon Maybe Pdoggg is just trying to help the less experienced in the community by bringing up the topic.

Some good thoughts and shares, funny ones too. I think Dan makes a lot of sense saying if I am out for a quite drink or a drink on a night I am not looking for a punt, then I just avoid those bars. However, sometimes there is something said for enjoying a beer and some eye-candy at the same time.

The worst is when you go to a place alone and there are no other guys or just maybe 1 one other guy there and there are 15-25 LBs or GGs working, because then you know you are the target for them to make money that night. Even worse if the one lady you are interested is with the other guy, because you have to make a decision- will I chance that he doesn't BF her and I have a shot or shoo off the others in vain to watch him leave with her?

Another issue for me is that I feel rushed. Sometimes, I might want to sit and enjoy the view a bit more. Pick out the ones that appeal to my eyes and dick. Figure out if she has a good attitude. Not rush. But during that time, it's girls coming by sitting next to you, "putting their hands on your lap and asking for drinks". Even if you might want to sort things out with her, it's not the easiest thing with her hand down your pants. Something like a bird on the stage is worth 2 hands in your pants... or something like that.

So knowing that these don't qualify because they are not my photos, but rather from their IG accts. I've only been to CIB once or twice. I didn't find the girls pushy, but both times, there were only 1-2 other guys in the place, so you had 12-20 girls there and 90% of them were looking at you hoping to get your attention and $.
