QG... who is translating the teya/emmy stuff? whatever site they are using to communicate?.. FB... you?

 i'm baffled as to why 2 thai's are bothering to translate thai into a second language they don't need..

it's pretty obvious  looking at some of the stuff and the pok 9 site [which is a lazada type thing] that possibly either Emmy or Teya are making a bit of cash buying and selling. Perhaps acting as an agent?  And good luck to them, any port in a storm.

that was the problem Woodie..no-one knew what he said anyway! i recall though that he was contacted by PM from a mod which he then published openly...something like that.

yes Bumblebee, i was thinking why on an obviously thai web thing are the thai's even translating to english. On facebook itself of course where like sunny they are talking to foreigners too then it's understandable. But the POk9 thing is'nt. No reason for them to do so. Possibly just done automatically.

Whatever, has far as i've seen google translate should be taken with a huge pinch of salt. it may work okay with say German to English [i have no idea] but regarding Thai/english how can it be accurate? translating a language of 50+ letters into one of 20+.

Even worse people just assume that it is accurate, I've long been warning Emmy not to trust it. indeed, if you look at the Katty Guest house advert on Agoda or the other one.. The bar has a hairdressing salon inside it and is standing on the shores of a lake or something.. Emmy wrote the blurb when she first took over the bar and never knew it was misleading, just trusting the translation. 

probably still needs to be changed. i won't look because if i do then same as before i get bombarded with adverts from Booking.com. Once Emmy is around with her laptop we'll get around to changing it. Bobby may remember that we spoke about this.

not an expert on gambling QG... but i think gambling is illegal here, hence all under the counter sort of thing, or maybe online...dunno really.

for info of anyone interested, i had a walk around the soi Buck area this lunchtime, Soi Buck market was busy [ish], Soi Buck itself quiet but it was early. Just happened to notice [as you do] that quite a few massage places have re-opened on Buck and Soi Zaza too. Not only legit places but also some dodgy's too. Also wandered down Soi Nokky-Nok for a chat with her but her little street was packed with people queuing for free food

had to sign in at a couple of 7-11s... so today i'm  being 'Quinn Quietguy'. Tomorrow who knows? Bobby Bumblebee perhaps.

and before anyone yells 'irresponsible' tough titty, it's bullshit. I don't give a phone number either... i don't want 7-11 phoning me with promotional offers in 3 months, assuming we are not suffering 5th Wave then that is.....

better wait for confirmation from QG...but certainly most of Jomtien's massage places are open now as before.

right  ring master. good point. Mine is North facing, gets no Sun at all until the last rays about 5 pm. gets the breeze and i never need to use air-con unless it's a very hot day. 

probably used it for 2 hours this year in total. i always laugh when i get my electric bill, last month was 170 baht.

these things are well worth taking into account when buying

what you have to be careful of PD, regarding the pools, some of them are placed  in between condo blocks, so in reality they only get sun when it's directly overhead. Not a concern for swimming of course but anyone who is a sun worshiper should beware.

and she told me that 100% she is coming back to Katty on the 15th June, assuming the bars reopen then that is. If they don't she'll probably wait until they do. But whichever she is 100% returning on what date that they do open..
