grakallen
America could have been very easily colonized by the chinese....... There is a wealth of evidence the chinese got there a long time before Columbus, not only America ,but Oz too. Very true, but also Vikings visited the North America before Columbus. Leif Ericson[3] (/ˈleɪf/ layf or /ˈliːf/ leef; Old Norse: Leifr Eiríksson; Icelandic: Leifur Eiríksson; Norwegian: Leiv Eiriksson c. 970 – c. 1020) was a Norse[4] explorer regarded as the first European to land in North America (excluding Greenland), nearly 500 years before Christopher Columbus.[5] According to the Sagas of Icelanders, he established a Norse settlement at Vinland, tentatively identified with the Norse L'Anse aux Meadows on the northern tip of Newfoundland in modern-day Canada Link --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leif_Ericson Quote Link to comment
Lefty
Someone has to tell me once again exactly what is wrong with Socialism? People are happy, live longer, have cheap education and better health care, and more vacation time. Not surprised at some of the countries on this list; one of my best buddies in the world is from Denmark and he and his family are super-nice, friendly and happy people. Canada made the cut, no surprise there, as well as Sweden and Norway, Holland and Switzerland. Surprisingly {not!} no America, which I would guess that with all its attendant problems and disharmony between the 2 major political parties would end up somewhere around number 50, if that. Check the list here; http://finance.yahoo...-the-world.html If you read the article it says the USA came in 11th. Just missing the top 10. Quote Link to comment
