First time ever today I walked into 7-11 this morning and it was warmer in the shop than out on the street.
I was walking around in my hoodie, which had been gathering dust in my wardrobe as I hadn't worn it since I left London.

So if you decide to set the bar high be prepared to keep it there no one will forget and they all will expect the same , the big payers make a rod for their own back .
I'd sooner get the odd knock back from some diva who can get more elsewhere than be marked down as a mug by the rest .
I know one guy who was paying 10K LT to try and get regain approval and get back into her good books.
I did try and have a word in his shell but got the "It's my holiday...." speech.

I think the Flippers going back into the shadows was some kind of police crackdown coming from the top, Once the bar owners got a heads up they almost instantly vanished from the bars and now are just freelancing online.It was sad to see Darkside and Paradise go this year. On the Patts vs BKK debate, speaking to a couple of people in Patts the other week the pricing in the big Mango is a bit of deterrent. I think now the cheapest LB bar beer is 120B (CIB) whereas in Patts you are usually paying 70/80 baht a beer. It adds up quickly over the course of a night. The "new" Guess, Chaos 9 has nice Thai host, kind of in the mould of Lita, sadly I don't visit it too often as the beers are about the same price as the Nana Go-Go's (130B upwards)..... I'm turning into a a penny pinching expat already
I had the chance to do a quick Patts trip last weekend for the first time since August and in that short space of time a lot had changed with a couple of new bars and some old favourites changing their premises. The new Boom was spooky, like sitting in an exact mirror image of the old bar. One thing that did make me smile was a I spotted a couple of the girls wearing red "Stringfellows" Kimonos.Maybe I just got lucky with a cooler weekend to visit Patts but I wasn't as hot in the extended 69 as I used to get before. The new Sensations was impressive, busy the first night I was there for Scott's party but went back quiet late the second night with two other BM's and it we were the only ones there. That wasn't a bad thing though, we just sat at the bar with some chilled out dance music on in the background at a reasonable level and the girls didn't interject too much. Despite all good intentions of trying to see Mike Whites and K'R'Us I never made it.Seeing Soi Croc close in Patong was another shame, hopefully something else will replace it. As much as I enjoy my nights at C&D, it's good to have some other LB venues so you can have something resembling a crawl. I understand a lot of the ex-Soi Croc girls are now operating out of other mixed bars in the C&D Soi, thus making that Soi a bit of a "Soi Ladyboy" within Phuket.

There have been rumors reported on another forum that Paradise Bar will be converted into a Mexican restaurant since one of the partners left. So perhaps it will only by Chaos 9 bar that the Darkside staff will be temporarily working from.
Paradise will still be around in the short term while that deal is still being finalised, but going forward that's a couple of BKK bars gone in a short space of time. Three if you add Sweetheart Bar into the mix as well.

Just been reading Darkside has closed it's doors for the time being while they try and re-neg their rent agreement with the landlord.
The Darkside staff will be operating from Paradise and Chaos 9 Bar (formerly Guess) in the interim.

They never seem to not be on the UK tour, I see a lot of updates from them on twitter and it seems to be all year round?

There might be a few red faces if we could access any private areas they may have. It would be interesting to hear from guys if they found out the tables had been turned and the LBs were posting naked photos of them clearly without permission for the most part.
I guess FB is their alternative forum.
I was with an LB one time in BKK who was taking pictures of my cock and then posting it into some kind of LB private group on facebook. A quick scroll through the timeline showed there were a load of them all posting pics of their conquests from the previous evening. Luckily she only got me from the waist down and even staged some sex pics with me to add colour to her story.

I used them to price a recent internal trip to get a rough idea but ended up going separately through the two airlines (NOK and Thai Air) sites instead to book directly and got a better price.

I've never visited a tiger sanctuary to have my pic taken with a drugged up tiger.Floating Markets have never appealed to me, there's enough tacky stuff on sale without being overpriced just because I'm sitting on a boat.Bridge over the River Kwai, for whatever reason has never really appealed to me.There are a couple of things I would like to do however.- See more of the islands. There are still a few out there that haven't been spoiled too much.- Visit the old cities of Sukothai or Ayuthaya.

I've seen a few over the years, I'm damned if I can remember a bar in any of them. Shrek? Nope, don't think so. Up? Nope. Roger Rabbit? Possibly but I can't remember one. Wall-E? Nope. Wallace & Gromit? Surely not?

I love the Simpsons, it's a great metaphor on life & anyone who doesn't get its appeal for adults can't be my friend. And I know a few people who think it is aimed at kids. They refuse to watch it or consider it adult entertainment.
I love the show but I assume Seven doesn't care for it much, I could never describe the bar where Homer, Barney, Lenny (my avatar) & Karl drink as boring.
I hope I have the right answer....
Seasons 4 - about 8/9 were razor sharp but it's been on a big wane for over ten years now.

My personal choice would be Donovan's Reef.
I thought the cantina would be in there.
My pick would be the Double Deuce from Road House. Gets a bit lively in there too!

About time, I think I had to pay 300 baht for Central to the Bus Station, I tried 3 or 4 and they laughed off using the meter. In Bangkok the same journey on the meter would probably be under 100 baht.
