This crossing has been tried a couple of times before and failed and I think this new one is doomed like the others , bad weather for half of the year means many cancellations and not sure if there is enough demand for a daily service .

Supposed to start today but guess what cancelled due to bad weather .

bad news for anyone going to siem reap the entrance to angkor wat will almost double in February , I went there twelve years ago it cost me $40 for a three day pass same as it is today , with this site being Cambodia's only major tourist attraction fair play to the khymers for not increasing the entrance fee before now .

Agree with the comments these type of bars can be hit and miss but can be a lot of fun and you don't seem to get the superstar and attitude problems .

Found this bar recently on soi buahkou few shops down from soi 15 right opposite duannaming hotel , girl in there told me its 50 50 girl ladyboy only one ladyboy on duty but it was early 19.00 hrs . went back next day after midnight six ladyboys there and hungry , few pictures of the bar .

     Cherry/Pel is a unique bird. She looks nice and has a knock out body and most guys swear by her in the loom, but she can be very violent and unstable.      Natalie is another one that needs to be taken with extreme caution. Built like a prize fighter and with an extremely violent temper. Have seen her in action a couple times and it ain't pretty, especially when she's drunk. I can't imagine being in the loom with her. I remember being in Lita's having some drinks with the girls when Natalie walks in. You should have seen the looks on the faces of the girls when she walked in. Natalie really spooked the fuck out of the girls.  LOL  Natalie normally patrols Walking St. near Hot Tuna and down Soi BJ

Not been with cherry but she usually patrols along soi diana by lk metropole hotel , think she is getting desperate for customers now offers her ass for peanuts nowadays.

Big nat also freelances in soi 4 bkk , couple of years ago outside nana another ladyboy priced herself out of a session with me , nat standing near heard this and said 1500 all night that do me I said to myself she practically dragged me to my hotel further down nana , when we got in room she asked for 500 baht upfront or she was off reluctantly agreed and gave her massive ass a good pounding which she also did to me , in morning gave her the 1000 baht and she left with no drama .

Last time I not have pic guy stung me $2 for no pic , evisa is easier but the extra extra $10 that's your taxi fare into town unless you stay at good old flamingoes they do free pick up from airport .

I was stuck over half way down plane saw most passengers were filling in paper work for visa on arrival so did a Usain bolt got to the front of que took just over 30 minutes from landing to exit airport .

Immigration guy did try to scam me gave him $50 note gave me $15 back pointed out $5 short he say yes sir and give 5 more , can't blame him for trying .

In bangkok now fly to Cambodia tomorrow but forgot to bring any photo's for visa on arrival , walked up sukhumvit road found photo shop five minutes later had eight photo's for 200 baht , the shop is located directly opposite soi 6 right next to the stairs for nana skytrain .

Checked hotel out this week very nice , Ok for a short stay but no discount for a monthly stay I think

30k is a bit steep can get a good condo for less .

Nice pool on the roof but no umbrellas for protection from the sun , would definitely not book a room

out the back the rooms back on to d-apartments and winner place , picture attached of the back rooms with

the two buildings blocking all views .

Recently I found a 550 baht charge on my Kasikorn account from October when I wasn't in Thailand. It appears to be an ATM withdrawal unless ATM99001 is some secret code for some charge from K-Bank. I will try and find out what it is all about when I return to Thailand soon. If I don't get a satisfactory answer I may have to consider closing my account.

Your right its a kasikorn annual charge everyone Kops it .

My guess is you originally opened your account in October , I opened my account in January that's when

they take it from me the anniversary of the date you opened the account .

Looks like d-apartments & d-xpress owners new hotel is now open .

Great location just off soi buakhao backs on to d-apartments , just guessing but

think superior rooms at the front the best deal get a view and afternoon sun , the

standard and deluxe are out back with no view .

it was only a matter of time before things came to a head , plaza is like a ghost town these days owners forced to keep

drink prices high to pay the rent , even cascades forced to cut staff levels to balance the books .

 

these days more mongers seem to be drinking in the soi 4 bars , beers are a lot cheaper and are packed for over twelve

hours , great views of the soi and still have the option to hit the plaza later to score or even wait till the go go's close and

save on the bar fine .

I just picked a couple hotels at random and multiplied the Agoda price by 1.177 and it gave me the Booking .com price.

 

So its really a matter of which website you prefer.  Booking .com has a more lenient cancellation policy.  With Booking .com you pay at the hotel.  But Agoda has a pretty good points program.

the points program only applies to existing customers , last year I used agoda first time and was

told their points program is not available for new customers .

agoda's system makes you pay up front with penalty charges if you need to cancel or change dates

unless you pay a premium when booking . because of this they not get my custom anymore .
