  1. Used to be a regular pickpocket crew on the Jomtien run a few years ago. Usually about 4 or 5 of them consisting of a young ladyboy, a gay boy (?) a fat lass and on oldish woman. First noticed them flagging down the bus then letting it pass if not many people on board. The drivers knew them and would sometimes sail straight by. They did get caught - saw it in the Pattaya News. ! Once saw an old ladyboy trying to pickpocket a drunk farang who was wrapped round his girlfriend - he was wearing baggy cargo shorts (camouflaged) looked easy but she failed. Should I have intervened ??

  2. Back in the day the 'Liverpool' Spinners were usually billed as that - as when they appeared at a Folk and Blues Club I was running. Not my choice of guests but BBC Radio who was recording it. Mid Sixties. We couldn't get 'His Bobness' ! 5555

  3. Guinness stopped brewing in England in 2005. All Guinness is brewed with Liffey Watter (!) Ho Ho Ho. Except of course in Malaysia, USA and a few other countries. One of the largest consumers is Nigeria. Many years ago holidaying in Barbados very pleased to find bottled Guinness.

  4. Guinness - like lager is a dead beer - once brewed and kegged or bottled that's it. My chums in Ireland used to tell me that Guinness in England was not as good as in Ireland and go all misty eyed drooling about it - even though it was all brewed at St. James. However if the landlord of the pub had not cleaned the beer pipes out regularly - that would taint it. Cheers !
