I was curious as to how safe some of these ladyboys are? Obviously, a condom will be used at all times.I also realize that there are differences between some high-end bars, and the LB's you can find on the street. But other than just wearing a condom, what else should I avoid? Are the ladies in the bar tested by any chance on a regular basis? Just looking for some general background, thanks. PS, I'll be staying in Chiang Mai mostly, but will do some short trips to Phuket and BKK

Recent member of this site and pretty happy with it so far. I'm traveling to Thailand for about 2 months and will be staying/working in Chiang Mai. I'm sure there are a few threads on here about CM, but mostly everything I have found is on Pattaya and BK. Was curious what I should be looking for in CM? Any ladies in particular? Any bars in particular to make it to / avoid? I'm assuming the best advice is to travel down to BK or Pattaya every weekend for the best time, but I'm sure there are a few great options up in CM, right? Any info is appreciated, thanks all.
