I have been researching it, and one site (http://www.catie.ca/en/pif/summer-2012/putting-number-it-risk-exposure-hiv), that did numbers research among couples with HIV+ and HIV- partners puts the risk for oral as: “low but non-zero transmission probability.” It can be but is very unlikely. Air will kill the HIV virus, so if sperms gets into the bloodstream without being exposed to air, there's a risk. So mouth scratches etc can be an unlikely culprit. By the way the studies also show that the risk from topping a HIV+ to be one in 909 if cut and one on 161 if uncut. being topped by and HIV+, the risk was calculated 1 in 71. All pretty low, but it only takes one bit of bad luck!

ok guys, I've spent the last couple of days combing over forums, trip reviews, hotel reviews etc etc. Flight is booked for next Thursday and I was raring to go, couldnt sleep and getting really really excited. THEN as I delved deeper into the forums I started to read horror stories and not only of black eyes and 2000 missing bahts, but STDs HIVs etc etc. I am sooooooo deflated. One guy wrote he got HIV from getting a load in the mouth! Yes I know, fucked and be fucked with condoms only, dont get a load to areas that have no air exposure etc etc. But still!!??!! I wanna do this but now I feel like I'm back to square one, and just when I was about to have some fun, I got all cerebral again. Cure needed ASAP!

Love it Tex! I thought you were going to say: When you get off the plane, show the list to customs :) Well trip is booked landing (very) late Feb 7 for 5 nights. Now, I know hotels have been and are discussed ad-nauseum, but honestly its so hard to the info you need trough all the threads when you need it most! When I do a search of Aya Rersort for example i get a bunch for threads on anything that has Pattaya Resort in it. I was looking at that one because it seems nice can relax in day and is friendly for our purposes, without being as expensive as the Marriot or Dusit. So my thoughts are that, or just go to a more "hard core" place like Penthouse or Tims etc for a night or two to get my fun in and then upscale for R&R.

Need to work out accommodations though, what best suits me, and this one REALLY has my head in a spin... I've read countless forum posts about different places and the topic really can lead to some exhaustive research. I live only a couple of hours flight away from BKK so my visits are usually more frequent but shorter, usually 3 - 5 nights. Not enough time to make a mistake and move to another place mid trip.... Peace and quiet, fresh air and water in the day with the ability to have fun at night. Previously I've stayed at Royal Cliffs. Great resort with great pool and proper gym. 2ce i just booked for two and added a girl as a registered guest, once I had to pay the joiner. Anyway, I'm thinking I with this new attitude I gotta change to a more lifestyle friendly and less family oriented place. So my research continues.....

well i hear you mate, and yes I guess you do pay always in one way or another. I dont mind spending money (esp when its cheap like LOS), even if I can "pick up" in a reg bar the drinks dinner etc are gonna add up really fast. It's the concept of it that I need to deal with. i really just need to make make nest trip dedicated to dealing with it :) . I'm already in Asia so its really a no-brainer. Yuzi, you do sound jaded somewhat, are you happy now that you have given up on love and are "free for life"? I'm sure if one really wanted, it would be easy to find someone in LOS, Phils etc. Almost every profile on every dating site is a sexy chick saying they no longer want young lookers / studs and want an older settled guy who just has a decent heart... (and no, I dont buy everything I read on those profiles)

ye, this forum is great and would love to shoot the breeze with members even tough I have given up the bottle, due to an intese training schedule and all round healthier diet - something else that is not for everyone :) Previously, I've just been "sneaking" around looking over at others sometimes disgusted, mostly envious but always just playing solo, both in mind and in company. So its even kind of liberating to be able to "come out" with level headed and like minded individuals...

actually reading what you wrote reminds me of my 1st trip to Thailand - two years ago. I was in Phuket, and eventually plucked up the courage to venture in to the more desirable side of the tracks, where i found myself in a pool hall full of TS and mamas etc. Seemed like an easier place for me to hang, i mean I'm just playing pool, right? :) So i joined a table, enjoying myself. These girls were good! On the other had what did I expect? I play like once every couple of months and this is all they do... Anyway after a few games I got to talking with one, while being encouraged by her mama, and I just bluntly said that I think I am an attractive guy (never have problems meeting girls) so I dont pay for sex, but asked how much for a conversation. She seemed flexible so I gave her 1000 or 1500 doesn't really make a difference to me, but I'm sure it does to her. Anyway we took a bike to the beach and after 30 mins of me getting through to her that she doesn't have to keep saying "up to you" we got to talking. I asked her, in a situation where she was the one paying and was paying me, what would she be asking for? Her answer both shocked and saddened me. She said that she would just want a guy to hold her, with no sex, for the entire night, something she has never experienced before. Without hesitation I said I'd do that. We made some more small talk before I coaxed her into going into the water with me. She couldn't swim, so was very reliant on me (love that) and she had the time of her life. Always too scared to venture into the water, this was again, a first for her - she was beaming. Back at the hotel and they would not let her in due to a no LB policy. Keep in mind this was my 1st trip and I didn't even know that a guest in a hotel was limited in who he could bring back - and in Thailand of all places! I could see how bad and humilitated she felt standing there wet at the front desk. I took her to a taxi and gave her another 500 for a taxi home with lots of hugging and sympathy. It really made me sad. I did meet up with her again to take her into the water she so loved, but never spent the night. Wow, never shared THAT experience before.
