Maybe they chose Out Of Time because time is no longer on their side?

Ask and you shall receive. Last night at a jazz festival in New Orleans. This must be the most stripped down plain stage they've had in ages.

Personally I like some of her tunes, but when trying to listen to a complete album, started to get boring quite fast because all songs sound alike. If you've heard one, you've heard them all :nea:

Yeah, agreed, shes got some catchy tunes but it all sounds the same eventually.

Leave it to Lisa from Buri Ram to bring archival Louis Vuitton all the way to the California desert. Over the weekend, the Blackpink star accented her Coachella festival style with lots of leather, a pair of tiny shorts, and some divisive runway boots courtesy of Louis Vuitton designer Nicolas Ghesquière.

For Coachella weekend two, Lisa went for an all-black off-duty look complete with some very high-impact accessories. She flashed her abs in a cropped bra top and high-waisted black shorts. From there, Lisa layered a leather bomber on top (Coachella heads know that it gets quite cold when the sun sets) and a mini black tote from Louis Vuitton. She then slipped on a pair of the Paris brand’s “Patti” shoes which originally debuted as part of Ghesquière’s fall 2021 collection for the house. Her boots featured a slouchy, knee-high silhouette as well as a two-tone flap detail towards the front. A bright blue heel added a pop of color to the pair while silver zips brought even more of an edge. Lisa has taken a liking to Louis Vuitton in recent months, especially Ghesquière’s more abstract designs. But her latest footwear choice might be her most divisive yet—no, not as controversial as Margiela tabi boots per say, but still enough of an unexpected silhouette to raise some eyebrows.

Why is she there? A fashion show?

It was once the hottest ticket in the summer festival calendar, but Coachella is now being shunned by music lovers after becoming overrun with Gen Z influencers who don't even recognise the acts performing on stage.

This year's California-based festival - boasting a lineup including Lana del Ray and Blur - saw legions of influencers flown out by brands to pose in the desert and promote their swimwear, hair, and clothing ranges.

At the weekend, Blur frontman Damon Albarn became increasingly frustrated with the 'silent' Coachella crowd during his band's set, telling them: 'You'll never see us again so you might as well f****** sing it'.

He has been given sympathy by a member of Paul Weller's touring band who told of similar indifference from crowds at Coachella - and branded it 'not a music festival'.

  3. I refuse to click anything that shithead Musk is associated with, but I get the jest. More diversity please . That's  what made America so great in the first place.

Only song in the set that I don't recall ever hearing before.

It was a hit in the sixties with another guy Chris Farlow, the Glimmer Twins gave it away and have only recently started playing  it live.

  4. Last night in Houston. First show of their american tour. Very similar setlist from when I saw them almost 2 years ago now.

Obviously a few songs from their latest album, but  nothing compared to the older stuff. Mick 80 years young. Impressive.

Actually I think both are somewhat overrated.

The Boss overrated?Noooooo, he's in fine form, just fisnished up the 2023 postponed dates in North America due to his ulcer, now kicking off the summer tour in Europe. Swift is highly overrated, imo. Billie Eilish just announced her tour for next year. She's great.

I'm less optimistic about Europe than you are. I'm concerned about the possibility of Russia first invading a few Eastern European countries (such as the Baltic states and/or Moldova), while Western countries might deem it unworthy of war for these 'small' nations. This pattern might then repeat with Poland, Slovakia and Romania. When Western Europe is at risk, we might find our allies have already disappeared.

Yes, could go this way but this is why Ukrainian victory is essential for our future.

Lastly, it is increasingly evident that China intends to eventually annex Taiwan, employing soft power tactics if possible, or resorting to military force if necessary. In the event of such a conflict, the USA would need to redeploy forces from Europe. Considering its strategic location, Djibouti is ideally positioned to impede US Navy movements between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
China is actively involved in a global chess match as part of its expansionist policies, aimed at countering Western influence with the support of its allies.

I have no doubt about it with help from Russia and Trump.

'countering western influence' could mean no more Hooters in Thailand.

Its a rude awakening for Europe going on. Its obvious we're at it alone in a near future, around 8 months.

Its the americans wish. The Supreme Court sided with the orange grifter today, no surprise as he appointment the conservative judges himself. I never thought I would see a US president supporting a russian dictator. No more Ukranian aid, no more Nato.

It's a messed up world but I have faith in Europe and our  allies, UK, Australia, France, Germany , Spain , Italy etc.  I still believe in our way of life as we know it.  America just getting more dumb and authoritarian by the day. Shame really, it was great a few decades ago.

  10. Thanks for your reflection, Rom. I enjoyed it.

blatantly flaunt her new wealth will lead to money requests that she may not be able to deny.  I guess it is human nature to want to induce envy on others

I'll never understand this. It's not specific for thais although they're very good at it. I know a few persons my age who come from old serious money and they would never flash their blingbling, in fact they try to stay under the radar. It's the nouveau riche and social media in an appalling symbiosis.
