  1. I must be among these people who BB lost, because I remember watching one of the early episodes and I zapped away after 15 minutes I think. Sometimes friends are needed who tell you, "you must watch it, it's good, just wait until the 4th episode"...
  2. I know where, the name of the country contains two letters that are almost the furthest possible apart in the alphabet, 555
  3. correct answer!! Brazil has the largest Japanese expat community. About 50.000 live in Sao Paolo, and 1.5 million in Brazil. The funny short story about this is, I was with a friend discussing "yellow fever", he was arguing that I was only attracted to Asian girls, and at that moment there was a broadcast about the world cup in Brazil and they were showing a picture of 3 three tanned, hot looking (by my standards) Brazilian girls wearing the team's yellow colors. So I said to him: "see, these Brazilian girls look pretty hot too" - oh yes, they are hot, he said. So I don't like only Asians. ...And then the voice over in the broadcast said something along the lines of "these fans now support the brazilian team after Japan was eliminated - they supported Japan at first because of their mixed origins, since Brazil hosts the largest Japanese community out side of Japan... bla bla". 55555
  4. hmmm... bomb crater? 555 they did many nuclear tests on atolls in the pacific
  5. ok, let me try your skills :-) the country were the following photo has been shot should baffle anyone who is not in the know already. And I will have a related small personal story to add once the mystery will have been solved.
  6. aah, yes - I am technically wrong.
  7. hmm... basalt formations... there are many around the world got it... country name has 7 letters, fourth letter is L :)
  8. gee, that's cramped! too cramped for an "orderly" country, I would already exclude France, Italy, Spain
  9. ok... post your next pic, I'll only have one guess :)
  10. ok, got it! it's mount ararat in Armenia I finally found it because the rounded mountain top disturbed my thoughts, carpathians and alps don't have much rounded mountain tops, so I broadened the search. byzantyne was correct ;-)
  11. Hmmm... crude medieval fortification - the church looks orthodox, but not that much, maybe rather byzantine... brick building - green country with high mountain, yet the soil is yellow and the foreground looks mediterranean, or maybe near the black sea. Damn crapshoot again. The face looks romanian. I would nominate a group of countries including Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria... or Georgia? the mountain looks like 2500-3000 m ... carpathians?
  12. nope, not Laos - the correct answer is surprising! keep trying
  13. aah sorry ... I must have missed the post 555 ok, will concentrate on new pics! try to solve mine :-)
  14. Reykjavik! EDIT: ok, Jaidee post http://www.ladyboyreview.com/forum/index.php?/topic/4080-name-that-country/?view=findpost&p=101330 I feel stupid now, 555! But I really love this game and I'm drunk! 555
  15. post 873... I'm still analyzing the pic and torturing my brain. certainly looks European. the central column looks germanic... looks like a victory column. is it Bismarck on the horse? but he would have one of these pointy hats... architecture definitely more ancient than bismarck. thinking thinking could be anywhere between poland and italy, but in a country that gets cold, that was recently awarded money (in the past 15 years, because the monument looks clean) and which is quiet with little criminality and trusts people enough to rent out rowboats on the lake, which excludes most of the "old" EU countries. I'd guess Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, ... maybe Austria. I'll do some reasearch, I love games like that, 555 EDIT: got it - it's in Madrid! I was wrong with the eastern European guess, LOL - but the pinetrees put me on the southern europe trail, 555 ok, what pic hasn't been solved yet?
  16. may I counter with this picture... tell me the country. I have been at this place. I feel asking to guess just based on the picture is a bit unfair, as the correct answer might be surprising! So I made it easy to find the answer using google.
  17. Hi JD... never been away! just been posting and reading on "other" forums :) I'm glad to read you guys again too.
  18. thanks! guessing the correct country is really difficult, because all these countries look very similar to western China! But I have a guess - the back lights of the car on the left look like an older Volkswagen Passat. I know Volkswagen has had a plant in China for a very long time, so my money is on China. But if the car was bought crossborder by a Kyrgyz, I'm screwed! For texasmac: the building is a very small mosque. no minarets, but the four columns are characteristic, and the form of the arcs above the windows is found in central asia and pakistan/india.
