If you think this is the US, Canada, or Australia, names the state or province too.
Lots of places in California's Sierra foothills look like that.

Good!

Truth is, not going near the water is a good idea. That water is nasty. And not in a good way!

Holey Cow ...what is that whit stuff by the water at Pattaya beach? Ohhhhhh sand, I never knew Pattaya beach had sand.
Yeah, they have to truck it in!

Definitely looks much nice without the furniture. I wonder if the deck chair vendors whom bought pitches from City Hall have been refunded?
They'll be back. The military is assigning new locations, and there should be some space between vendors for people to have free access.

There's no denying Patty is a popular girl, and that's probably for a reason. But I found her performance lacking. I would most likely not repeat.

THB is a boutique currency, and the Bank of Thailand sits on a mountain of USD, which they use to prop up the THB when needed.

One Question .... Is there a day time bar where you can kick back in Bangkok and just watch the world go bye with LB s in it. A bit like Hillary 4 but with Lbs.
Check out Sweet Heart Bar on Sukhumvit Soi 7/1.

After seeing that photo, I forgot what the topic is about!
Looking forward to SexyPinay69 coming to Thailand.

It should be interesting. And even more so if things loosen a bit in other countries.

Who is dreaming of a white Christmas?

Merry Christmas everybody!
If you're in Pattaya and thinking about Christmas dinner, Tequila Reef is serving up a plate for around 500 THB. And, of course, they have Margaritas!
Bourbon Street in Bangkok is offering their signature buffet for 995 THB. Turkey deep fried in peanut oil, brussel sprouts (which are rare around these parts) pumpkin creme brule, and Georgia pecan pie are some of my favorites. For a truly staggering offering, check out the menu below.

Just heavily invested in the Canadian dollar.
I just want to say one word to you, just one word... Plastics!

Finally hooked up with Bella, and it was worth the wait!
She said she likes working there, so with any luck she may be there a while.

Josh,
Really enjoyed the party Friday night. Many thanks!

Beerfest (on Second Road near Soi 6) is having a half-price day on their beer today. Beerfest brews their beer on-site!
I haven't been there myself (as the gravitational pull of Soi 6 is too strong for me to even contemplate going anywhere else in the area), but a friend who has reasonably good taste in beers quite likes their stout, and that's good enough for me!

Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination.
Always been a Disney fan and wanted to read his biography.
Nice to read a few pages on the phone or tablet when cooling my heels.

Congratulations!

I've had mixed threesomes with varying success. Doesn't seem to be much difference between getting the GG first and letting her pick the LB, or getting the LB first and letting her pick the GG. Either way is a bit of a crap shoot; sometimes you win big, and sometimes you crap out.
One of the best threesomes I ever had happened quite by accident at the Penthouse Hotel. After a few drinks in Obsession, ran out to see what the night had in store for me. An old friend spotted me on the street, and we went for dinner and drinks. We went back to the room where the GG did her best to show how much she missed me, when all of a sudden there was a knock on the door. It was the LB I had over-tipped earlier. Things started slow, but it turned out to be a rather good night. I really should write about it some time as it's been a while since I've done a trip report.
One way I wouldn't recommend is picking up a girl on Beach Road and having her call her friend. A guy I know tried that, and he woke up with the girls gone - as well as his backpack!

The answer is King Kong.
I don't have the answer for the next Name That Shot but perhaps somebody can identify the location.
Marine Plaza.

Yeah... I go back & forth on that one as the decades change, in recent years I am with you. But I do wish that sites that were more militarized were targeted instead of civilian populations... By definition war is the opposite of civilization.
Hard to imagine a more military target than Hirosima; out of the 75 thousand or so that died, 20 thousand were military.
From Wikipedia:
At the time of its bombing, Hiroshima was a city of both industrial and military significance. A number of military units were located nearby, the most important of which was the headquarters of Field Marshal Shunroku Hata's Second General Army, which commanded the defense of all of southern Japan,[102] and was located in Hiroshima Castle. Hata's command consisted of some 400,000 men, most of whom were on Kyushu where an Allied invasion was correctly anticipated.[103] Also present in Hiroshima were the headquarters of the 59th Army, the 5th Division and the 224th Division, a recently formed mobile unit.[104] The city was defended by five batteries of 7-and-8-centimeter (2.8 and 3.1 in) anti-aircraft guns of the 3rd Anti-Aircraft Division, including units from the 121st and 122nd Anti-Aircraft Regiments and the 22nd and 45th Separate Anti-Aircraft Battalions. In total, over 40,000 military personnel were stationed in the city.[105]- 1

Dylan was so bad on the McCartney tribute album. Can't imagine he'd do any better with Sinatra songs.

I agree. The touts got a bit too aggressive and took over the entire beach. The military is doing a great job getting things under control.
