Normally, in Thailand, I would say wait. In Cambodia or the Philippines where the likelihood of finding a hotter number than what I are currently looking at is small, I pull the trigger.

But this trip, the level of talent is appalling. In this case, if I wait, I'm going to sleep alone or end up banging some GG or LB that is past their sell-by date.

I would decide based on the amount of alternatives that I am likely to find.

OohLaLa is likely the same bar that was on Soi 4 off 2nd Rd before progress demolished the block. There was a LB named Fine that was there. Highway from Bangkok to Pattaya is a mess. I'm there now. Tons of diversions and construction. Mainly between Chonburi and Pattaya. At times, dead stop for 5 minutes. Tons of trucks. Fortune Tower to Pattaya more than 3 hours so far and we're still 5km from Pattaya. The alternate route closer to the sea is surely better, or go at an off time.

Update: 3 hrs 40 min to Beach Rd. Pattaya Klang was closed from 2nd Rd to Beach Dr by police parade. 2nd Road is like a jungle track, work no one in sight working on it!

Part of the delay was to move a body off of the highway. He was extracted from a wrecked car. Really bad accident, looks like he probably slid under a truck at high speed. 2nd dead body I've seen here this year.

But I did manage to get a good wander in today and sure enough I stumbled upon my first ladyboy encounter. Kings Bar were training for the VB comp on the beach at the end of Pattaya Klang and my old trusty shooter managed to capture some of the action for you.

Learning Thai will make life in Thailand much easier, and save lots of money. I think that a tutor is the best way to go, but most mongers would rather bang LBs than sit with a tutor (they cost about the same 5555).

- Transliteration is counterproductive. Restaurant = rahn-ahan, ron-aharn, etc. You will learn bad pronunciation. It is ร้านอาหาร

- If you have little time, or you're too lazy to learn the alphabet, the best thing you can do it listen to a native Thai speaker pronounce a word, then repeat it - over and over. Don't tranliterate, just do it by sound.

- If you must do language lessons on computer, the best online lesson is Pimsleur.

- Worse case, learn how to tell time and learn the numbers *correctly*. 1 thru 1 million.

Actually, if they'd put transmitters on all the LBs in Pattaya, I would buy a subscription to the view of the trackings.  Would save a lot of time when looking for a particular LB!

An Aventator is about 35 million baht.  More then US$1 million.  But think of it this way. Let's say a guy is worth $100 million.   It's just over 1% of his net worth.  Take the guy that is worth $1 million. 1% is $10,000.  Reasonable for a car.
