Meh, I am not much for discos, in fact, being a total introvert, I have a really hard time with them, they repulse me. I had all kinds of good luck just hanging out in front of Bo's Coffee at Ayala Mall. Not big on malls, either, but whatever. I just sat there and smiled . . . I wish it were that easy back in the US.

Yeah, Ayala is good. You could say Pacitas is an open bar with music rather than a nighclub...it's a beach vibe :)

For sure if you sit outside J Ave you'll be picked up in no time.

Mango is slowly being demolished. J.Ave has relocated to North Reclamation and is now called Octagon. Alcohology has also gone. The Family Mart (corner at the entry of Mango) is shut down and it was only open a few months ago. And Backdoor has also gone.

Club Holic and Club Ultra still there (as of two weeks ago) but it's a disaster area now, as such, girls/lb's are thin on the groundin Mango. I'll try to take some pix next week.

  3. Have been to Davao several times. It's a quiet town but there are clubs. You need to adjust your timing and go out earlier than you would normally and wrap up around midnight (a few places open until 1 am). In terms of LB mongering, it's essential to arrange in advance as there are no venues where you will consistenly find groups of LB's - you may get lucky but it's risky if you are heading there for only a few days. The upside is that the LB's there are largely free of the baggage you get with P4P.

  4. ...Jet Ski's at the ready...Duterte is going to sort the Chinese out..

"Rodrigo Duterte, the tough-talking Davao City mayor who is leading Philippine presidential polls, said he will hold bilateral talks with China to resolve a territorial dispute in the South China Sea if the current multilateral discussions don't bear fruit within two years.

He also said he would ride a jet ski to a disputed island occupied by China and personally stake the Philippnes' claims."

  5. I was just browsing a Cebu forum and found the following in a post:

Would this guy be referring to a ladyboy street action?

The OP is referring to a short-ish walk (400-500m) along General Maxilom Avenue between Mango Square and the Bikini (GoGo)  Bars. When you walk out of Mango (on the Alcology side) you turn left. You do occasionally find the odd ladyboy but they are typically heading in the direction of Mango. These days, Mango itself is consistenly full of P4P ladyboys mulling around in front of The Beat. I personally don't like Mango, but if you are looking for short time action there is plenty (at least 20 on-and-off last Satruday night) hanging around in the vicinity of The Beat.

  6. Ernesto,

I was in Angeles during the Typhoon (my flight to Cebu was cancelled) and we had a little peripheral wind/rain but it is fine. I am now back in Cebu and the city is functionaing as normal  - apart from a few extra (aid related) expats in the hotels - it's business as usual. However, Leyte is devastated. Many people in Cebu have lost family members in Leyte - it tragic :(

  7. In Cebu now and many people have family impacted - the biggest problem is they dont know what has really happened because of the lack of communication. I am helping some of the local lb's financially who need things like ferry money to get back home to look for family. I hope the texts I get when they arrive there are good news ... but I fear for them :(

To be honest, I am not sure I am in the mood to go to the Waterfront tonight to see the Queen of Cebu pageant :(

  8. I absolutely loved Club Hip Hop two years ago, but I never found a ladyboy inside unless I took her inside myself.  Great music, high energy, and very young Asian crowd...just right for an old perv like me...And for those 2nd Amendment fans...I absolutely love the "No Guns Allowed" sign at the entrance....made me feel right at home being originally from South Central LA...lol.

    Cheers,

    Randiuno,

Apparently, there is an important distinction between outside and inside at Hip Hop. The LB I was with told me that LB's could sit outside and have a drink but could not go inside to the actual disco part alone. We just sat outside which, as you know, is a really pleasant area anyway. As I mentioned, the LB's I saw weren't P4P, so it may be hit-and-miss in terms of when/if they are around on any given night.

    Cheers
