That's it exactly the Thai's treat it as it is a fun water festival and the foreigners act like wankers .
Lets not get carried away anointing Thais as being totally reasonable. I'll never forget the Thais standing most hours along the Hang Dong highway, just south of the airport in Chiang Mai, throwing water at anything moving. I read of a young lady going to work one morning on her moto when the morons tried to drench her. She swerved to avoid the water and was hit by a vehicle, either badly injuring her or killing her. (This was a few years back, details escape me.) Foreign idiots may rule in Pattaya, but Thais are everywhere.

Beats the heck out of drinking in Obsession or Cascade for B150 a beer.

I don't. But open facebook pages are visible without logging in. This does not seem to be so.If you already have a Facebook account, log in and then you will see the page for Temptations Bar.
In any case, I had a "never seen this before" moment. And I always say at my age, those things are never good. I went into Temptations around 2330 and I counted eight punters and seven ladies. I've never been in a bar with more customers than girls! I figure business must be booming in this low season. At least the beer is only B80, which is a downright bargain.

That link is just to get one to sign up for Facebook, as far as I can tell.
That's ok, I'll just go to the bar in a few minutes! Dee kwaa!

I, too, have stayed at the Dynasty Inn a number of times, both for value and convenience. I have only stayed in the old rooms. On my last trip to BKK I stayed at the Dawin, same company/owner. The Dawin, down the street next to the Ibis, is very nice and modern for just a few more baht than the Dynasty. During this stay I took Cindy from Cascades back to Dawin, and we were talking about hotels, and the Dynasty Inn. She told me the renovated rooms are very nice, pretty much just like those in the Dawin. You can't beat the location and value, in my opinion of the Dynasty Inn. But I don't mind the walk to the Dawin. Gives me a chance to see some of the freelancers along 4.
A couple notes regarding the coffee shop, at the Dawin they have an espresso machine, I'm pretty sure there's none at the Dynasty Inn. Also, I thought the khao thom at the Dawin was better than at the Dynasty Inn.

Appreciate the suggestions. What's really surprised me is it's not easy to just pick up and go to Phuket, at least not like Bangkok. I've lost track of the number of hotels I've tried, checking availability, and come back full. My time frame is sometime in the next 2 - 3 weeks. I guess people take advantage of low season?
Best bet might be to call them since I can travel any time. To keep trying date combinations on web pages can take forever. And there's no way to tell the web page "tell me when YOU have rooms available". So guess a call is in order.
pdogg, regarding "a place to stay", I'm almost certain that's the place I stayed last time I was down there, several years ago. And, I'm pretty sure it's gone now. I recall reading a post a few years ago along those lines.

I'm planning a trip to Phuket soon so decided to see what hotels board members are recommending. I clicked on the Phuket Master list, then the link, and I'm on the Agoda site. But all it's showing are general Phuket hotels. For example, the first hotel is Le Meridien (kinda doubt many mongers are staying there), then the Holiday Inn Express, then a hotel at Cape Panwa. I know that's no where near Patong. I entered in some dates to get rates, and over 1,100 hotels popped up.
So my question is, is this "master list" working properly? I am looking for a list of about 10 to 20 hotels at most near Patong that guys frequent. Cheap. The Santi White, posted below the master link, looks good. Maybe I'll just do that one.
But wanted to ask if the master link is working as intended.
Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome, guys.
Re my Casanova comment, I know that might sound odd, but part of it is due to the simple fact they don't have so many girls in there. Once you either select someone or get past the "initiation" of just walking in Casanova, it's pretty quiet. Does not matter who you're sitting with in Cascade now, you're still being hit on. It's classic Bangkok - barely controlled chaos!

Agree with the above. I've been gone for a while, and last time I was out in the bars the rate on the dollar was around 33. I thought that was bad, but I tolerated it. Now at 29, well, I'm being much more conscientious. While I paid two bar fines on my recent foray to Bangkok, I didn't pay any in Pattaya. I just can't afford to be throwing baht around like it's monopoly money anymore.
So, I got in touch with Lung and I'm going to let a superstar show me how it's done in northern Thailand!

Have to echo RocketSquirrel's experience. I was in Bangkok last week for the first time in just over a year, and decided to check out Cascades. While I was stunned at the sheer number of ladies (sorta overwhelming, particularly after just spending a few days in Pattaya), right after I walked in I noticed Bella and Cindy. Cindy was on stage, and she was working me like her life depended on it. I probably saw Cindy years ago in Nana when she was still a diamond in the rough, but was never really attracted to her - just not really my type. Bella is a little more of what I go for, so I asked her over. She was pushing to get Cindy with us, but I told her I'd buy her a drink, then Cindy. Too easy to lose control when they start ganging up. Anyway, after about 3 minutes of talk with Bella, things got boring, so I told her I'd like to buy Cindy a drink. Cindy bounced over and pretty quickly she had her cock out which was at full attention (oh! I remember those days!) and she continued to work me. I'd always heard great things about her, and I was impressed with what I could see and feel. So, I said let's go. Off to my room, and all I can say is she met, or surpassed, all expectations. Can't imagine anyone being disappointed with her.
I did not know the history of Jom Tien, etc, but she did tell me she had a condo down there. I asked her why she didn't work there. She never gave a good answer, but I assumed she just had her thing going here so why start over there.
But Cascades. Lord. In a way I think Casanova is laid back, low intensity after what I saw there the other night.

Stuff like the above is why I'd like to come back as a jap in my next life. Who else could understand that menu of perversion? There's some real fucked up shit going on in Nippon, and I'd sure like to partake!
