  1. I'd kind of forgotten about this thread, so good to see my main man PDoggg bump it.

Recent movies I've watched that really piqued my interest include Hell or High Water, though I doubt Tom Selleck likes it because it shows the conniving crookedness of reverse mortgages. Jeff Bridges is one of the stars and does his usual exceptional job. An early Bridges movie that it seems fans of his seldom mention when naming their favorites by him, is Rancho Deluxe. It is also well worth checking out especially if you like Jeff Bridges.

Also, a fairly recent western that I now include in the Official Lefty Top Ten Westerns, which is Old  Henry. As the genre goes I cannot express enough how much I liked it. I never really thought of Tim Blake Duncan as a serious drama type of actor but he pulls off the lead role very well.

As a Sam Peckinpah fan, I am pretty familiar with the names of many of the crew that worked for him over various projects. One of them was Gordon Dawson who 2nd unit directed, co-produced, etc, for Sam, but on The Wild Bunch was Wardrobe and Costume Design. Anyway, whenever I see his name attached to something, I'll check it out. He wrote and co-produced an obscure revisionist western around 1999, called Purgatory. It is free on Youtube and for fans of the genre, I suggest checking it out. Strong cast, including Sam Shepard, Eric Roberts, Peter Stormare, Donnie Wahlberg, et al.

One writer/director/producer whose works I find myself often liking,  through no effort to do so, is Walter Hill. He wrote the screenplay for and directed The Warriors, back in 1979, and over the years it has become a cult classic. More popular now than it was 43 years ago. Anyway for some reason I find this movie very enjoyable, and will watch it a few times a year.

He has a new western that came out this year, Dead for a Dollar. One of the stars happens to be Christoph Waltz, so I have two reasons to watch it now.

    just a genuine question hombre.

he certainly wasn't. Although in American folk tradition, just like Billy the Kid , Bonnie and Clyde and others of that ilk. , he's become a bit of a Robin Hood. figure.

But obviously no Wild West cowpoke fans on here,  Lefty or Seven  certainly would get it with this with this, the last clue..

back around 1967, Bob Dylan released a country album titled with the gunslingers name but slightly mis-spelt

I have not been here for weeks and did not see this till today but I can promise you I'd have known the answer without any clues.

actually thinking about Hollywood movies, how many people nowadays would have heard of say, Bonnie and Clyde or Butch Cassidy without the  2 movies?

how many think that Butch and Sundance were happy-go lucky fellows, blowing up the occasional train..and not the cold-blooded killers they really were.

Neither Butch Cassidy or the Sundance Kid were known to kill anyone, or were ever accused, charged, wanted for, killing anyone. They were robbers not killers.

The one thing Nancy should never have done, and IMO it pertains to the great majority of ladyboys, she should never have gotten any cosmetic alterations to her face. If you look at the pics Alaskan Bear posted in that linked thread, the bottom three are when she was natural and are by far the best.

  6. Not many series are binge-worthy to me. Deadwood was the best. Weeds was very good. Justified rocked. If you can find the 12 episodes of John From Cincinnati, it's an overlooked little gem of a mini series with many of my favorite actors.

Recently I binge-watched Schitt's Creek again. I support any series that puts LGBT characters in a positive light as the latter does.

If it was in a soap opera people might find it hard to believe, but such are our adventures in SE Asia for sure :)

I hope you are well, my friend. Hopefully we'll meet again in LOS in the future. I'll never forget when we first met at that little restaurant on Soi Buakhao. One of the many fine gentlemen from Ireland in our little circle.

The years preceding 2008 had been ones of political upheaval in Thailand, and around this time various parties sprung up associated with the family and associates of Thaksin Shinawatra, and the political situation was tense.  The powers that be weren’t too keen on him as any observer of Thai politics at the time would know.  And into this mix BB found himself spending a night on the Thai military compound in Dusit in Bangkok.

The father of a gg I knew was a high ranking officer in the army and was away at the time in the USA according to my friend.  She said we could spend the night in his house as she didn’t  want to travel all the way to her place out of town.  It was dark when we arrived at the gates of the compound in our taxi, and she told me to bend down till we got to the house as she didn’t want to be seen taking guys there in case word got back to her old man.  The lights were off in the car, and with plenty of trees shading the road it was easy to keep out of view.

The house was one of those old traditional basic wooden structures on stilts, not the flash modern place I’d imagined a high up military man might live it.  But on the bright side the bed was comfortable and we tucked in for a good nights sleep or so I thought.  It was around 3 or 4 am or so when it got quite noisy, and peeking out into the night we could see the headlights of various military vehicles milling around.  “This is very unusual.” She said in a not very reassuring voice.  “What do you mean?” I nervously replied.

“I have never seen this before.” was her follow up utterance, with the next sentence making me nearly shit myself.... “I think it might be another coup...”  It took me a few moments to take in the significance of what this might mean, here I am on a military compound in Thailand and it’s possible the whole city might be in military lockdown till god knows when.......and also the fridge is empty.

Finally things calmed down, and the vehicles disappeared into the night.  She put on the radio to hear if there was any news of anything going down, but nothing was being reported, we fell back to sleep after deciding to deal with anything that might have happened in the morning.

The morning came round after a restless few hours, and after phoning around various friends in Bangkok we were reassured all was normal in the outside world, no coup phew!  Time to get out of here and back to my normal life in Thailand I thought. “Put these on, I can’t be seen leaving here with a guy.” she said and threw a few items of female garments and a wig onto the bed.  “Seriously.” I replied, and the nod back told me I had no choice.  I reluctantly  got into the clothes, quite frumpy really, not what the hot ladyboys I had been ogling over the years would be seen dead in.  She even produced a lipstick to complete  the look.

A taxi was called, and as the house was raised he was able to reverse right up to the door, so I was fumbled out of the house and into the back of the car in nano seconds, like a celeb avoiding the paparazzi.  To add to the whole bizarre situation the driver had 70s disco music playing on his sound system, and till the day I die I don’t think I’ll ever hear the Tina Charles number “I love to love..” played in such unusual circumstances.

    Ya gotta love S.E. Asia.

  9. I read something about the so called "army vaccine" that is supposed to be available in the Spring and it is said to be extremely effective. By far more than any of the current ones.

Lots of information on the web about Pfizer vs. Moderna boosters.  I received the two-shot Pfizer regimen in the spring, but opted a few weeks ago for the Moderna booster after spending some time Googling.

Moderna edges out Pfizer in the effectiveness of boosters.  The Pfizer booster is their original 30 microgram mRNA dose whereas Moderna is a 50 microgram mRNA dose (half that of the initial two-shot series).  There are slight differences between these two vaccines, but both use the same technology and RNA sequence data gleaned from study of the original strain.

It seems that there is a fairly linear dose response depending on the amount of spike protein mRNA administered.  I did notice somewhat more pronounced side effects from the Moderna booster than from the original Pfizer jabs, but mainly it was just a couple of days of feeling really lethargic and a bit achy all over.  No big deal; it shows that the juice is working.  And, hey, Moderna has the word "modern" in it, so it must be better!

My first vaccine, as I mentioned previously was the single dose J&J. If I had been able to get it for my recent booster, I read it would increase my immunity by 900%. Not sure how reliable that bit of info was. The vaccine available here for boosters at the time was Pfizer so it was that or nothing.

I'd have gotten J&J for the booster though had it been an option.

  11. May I assume nearly all ladyboy mongers, other than ladyboys, are only into GGs? Myself, having been solidly 50/50 bisexual since before I ever knew transwomen existed, am still attracted to cisgender males sometimes. In LOS, quite often actually. I'd prowl the boy bars in and near Sunee quite often and am saddened to hear things have changed. I mean among farang. I've not met most of you inglourious basterds, so cannot say, but among the farang I have met over there, the only 4 I could have physical attraction to are Big Tel, Red Rock, Farangbah, and Anthony. No offense to any of the rest of ya. 555. This was just something that popped into my head a little while ago. I mean most of us farang are no prizes, but IMO the above mentioned 4 could get ladyboys to pay them for sex, assuming they've maintained. :)

I've had two Pfizer plus the Pfizer booster. I will try to get another shot after New Year, before I fly out to los mid January.

I will see if I can get a Moderna or Astra Zeneca as it seems a different vaccine might be more effective against Omicron.

Moderna and Pfizer are both mRNA, so basically the same. AZ and J&J are both viral vector. Since you already received Pfizer, perhaps one of the latter two if available, since they use a different technology.

I've had two AZ jabs, the last one three months ago so I may be eligible for a booster.

If given the choice, should I choose Pfizer or Moderna?

The best one is whatever is available. The technology used on Pfizer and Moderna is the same. Both are mRNA vaccines. mRNA vaccines teach our cells how to make a protein—or even just a piece of a protein—that triggers an immune response inside our bodies.

I got the Johnson & Johnson last April which did not require a booster. It is a viral vector vaccine. This is the oldest technology of the commonly available vaccines. The J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine also contains a piece of a modified virus that is not the virus that causes COVID-19. This modified virus is called the vector virus. The vector virus cannot reproduce itself, so it is harmless. This vector virus gives instructions to cells in the body to create an immune response.

When I got a booster in November, Pfizer was what was available so I got it. They all work, and there is no reason to not get vaxxed just because one you may think is better is not available while another one is. Pfizer and Moderna are both fine. Equally fine. Given the choice? Flip a coin. Here is a a fun little reaction my 70 year old cousin had with Pfizer. Last March he got it and the booster. No other lifestyle changes as for supplements or diet. But shortly after getting the Pfizer he said he started feeling "randy as hell", like when he was in his 30s. He has a medical background and said there is no logical reason for the Pfizer or any vaccine to have this side effect, but it was the only thing new he'd done. So, it remains a mystery. Given the choice, just for that reason, try Pfizer. But when I got one jab of it, I had no side effects at all. Same as when I got the J & J last April. It may as well have been saline.

AstraZeneca is also a viral vector vaccine. BTW.

Thanks for posting that. It's kind of cool to see a cock you've had up your ass multiple times so often displayed on the interwebs. Mint was a gentle fuck though. Nothing like Nancy, where afterwards ya can't sit down for a week. lol.

That was posted a year ago. I wonder how recently it was made? I've not seen Mint for 15 years. She has to be in her mid 30s at least by now. I wonder if the years have been kind to her?

Agreed. Its terror. Try to find a pic on social media of any thai LB or GG without a fucking deer ornament or a Santa hat now. The christian humbug is imposed on the poor thais, something they haven't got a clue about other than commercialism.

I'm going to binge watch Succession season 3 and not leave the house.

Spot on amigo. I did have pic of a Thai GG show up in my newsfeed this week though without Xmas ornamentation. 269898257_1052005365361124_8821811245041849203_n.jpg.ebdd32aa686b54980e6e9a5bbfd85d2f.jpg

you're not alone jimmy! enforced jollity leaves me cold too. far as i'm concerned it's great when you have a couple of young kids... and that's it.

    but... happy christmas all

    and especially Lily...

I agree except it seems more like forced jollity to me. It is sort of why I HATE HATE HATE the modern iteration of Songkran. In its origins it was not intended to be a giant water fight by a bunch of drunken low IQ farang, but that's what it has become. If you don't want to participate your only option is stay inside. The water fight is supposed to stop after dark, but it seldom did in my recollection. When some asshole I don't even know sprays me with a super soaker, I want to kill them. Literally kill them.

I am one of life's Xmas Grinches. Hate the bloody thing. It's all hype and humbug and just makes us buy stuff we don't want or need. I kicked a Santa in the arse today at my local mall .. and felt brilliant about it. You can't even get away from the nonsense on porn channels. Pornhub is full of sluts dressed up as elves and such like. Hate hate hate. But I've managed to weasel my way out of all Xmas Day socials this year .. I'm going to stay at home, get blasted on cheap cask wine, and listen to Norwegian death metal at full bore.

    THIS X 1,000!!!! It's all fucking bullshit.
