Thanks D. No I haven't tried it yet. I can only say that if and when, I will go for 5 mg. Hopefully will be OK. I may not even get around to it.
Thanks for the tip

DC (GB? ) your post is spot on.
My fave is a girl who left the Bar the night we met and never went back, even left her "stuff' in the locker there. Probably not due to me as it was no doubt brewing, but let's say it was a catalyst.
There followed several weeks together 24/7, long phone calls from back home, reunions, and ultimate disaster.
As JaiDee knows, once they get into the ice scene, game over Despite her demise (and mood swings), she still entertained the fantasy that we would be together and bring her lil bro to stay with us in BKK.
The reality was so far from the dream that it still pains me to feel I somehow let her down. But I just had to get out.

the income from either the bar or the Internet Section. That would be helpful. The buy-in looks abordable, as does the rent. Question is: is it viable in a cash-flow sense? Good luck to her

Was scratching my head over LBP, but now I seem to remember I got banned there after I jumped in on some thread dissing kahuna LOL

Ironically enough, the 1st hit on a google search of "Minerva ladyboy" takes you to an ATS gallery I still remember the 3 short clips of her..
I remember the yahoo group but I was more there for the pics than the chat as those things are a pain to navigate.
I joined LB69 not long after Rami started it. In those days he was an active poster and very helpful and personable. I must have joined TLBF back around 04/05. Some of the guys are still around from back then, except randyman and Looker.. I used to mod on a GG forum and I think I stumbled across Stogie from some stickman rant about ladyboys that we posted a link to. Who would have known..
It was a lot of fun back in the day but I think many of us are settled into a quieter life of observation and introspection as far as the LB scene goes. Just as well some of the old timers can still get it up for the TRs

Nice looking girl. Seems worth a detour.

Thanks Stealth. There's a good Sunday's reading in there
I should be OK for typhoons as I will be there in a few weeks

Thanks Gents.
I have absolutely zero interest in buying any meds off the street or from dodgy purveyors.
As it has been confirmed that cialis et al is not available over the counter from reputable pharmacists in PI, I will, if I decide to proceed, bring them from home with scrip and clearly labelled box in hand.

Thanks Stealth
I will therefore apply the 'Paris Principle'...
(3 star Michelin restaurant on a Saturday night)
Maitre D: Do you have a reservation Sir?
Guy: No, Why... should I?
Yes of course not Sir, here is our best table...
-
I thought I might post this as a separate topic/query.
As this is my 1st trip to the PI, and my first venture into this kind of thing, was wondering what the deal was.
Here's the thing: will be with 1 LB for 3 weeks and I might need a bit of 'support' to keep things moving. I had heard that meds were available over-the-counter in PI (i.e sans prescription) but a local friend has advised that this does not apply to cialis/viagra. Does anyone have a different experience?
In the alternative I can get a prescription here and bring it through PI customs. Should that present any issues?
Of course, worst case is I get a scrip over there from a local clinic.
Any advice much appreciated

Thanks for the suggestions D&C. I've checked out most of the tips on agoda etc. It's a real headache. There always seems to be a deal breaker. No TV, or no smoking or average looking rooms or...
I saw a great place with a deck directly onto the beach; That would have been ideal... alas a no smoking room and no TV which could be a trial as I'm sure my friend is not into reading a good book
I don't mind if the sand is dark. I think my best bet will be to check it out from Manila via a travel agent. (Also don't want to plan every day before I see how the trip will pan out..). Although I am coming around to your point that I should just hang the expense and do Boracay
I have made a list of all the places mentioned here so will leave it to fate
-
it all depends on want kind of beach experience you want.
Good luck
Thanks Hefe.
I guess I'm looking for a decent beach (ie not dirty) with things to do (restaurants bars etc for dinner) with a decent hotel/bungalow that's not astronomically priced.
I'll check out the places you mentioned. I'm likely to make any bookings whilst I'm over there, might see a good package.
Cheers for all the suggestions

Hi Rookie.
Sounds good. I checked this out on agoda et al. Seems to depend on the room (i.e if you can get the beachfront). No mention of a roomsafe? What site did you book through?

Hi Guys,
I will be in PI for 3 weeks (unless I bail and hop over to BKK). I'm looking to take my LB friend to a nice island/beach escape for a week or 5 days to get out of Manila. Trying to keep the budget from blowing out while I'm at it
Having looked at most of the accommodations for Boracay and having found them either too high priced for an extended trip, or just sub par with a 50/50 good to dodgy review ratio, I'm seeking alternatives.
What I require:
Close to a nice beach or even fronting it, decent room with wifi and room safe to fit the laptop, enough to do in the evenings (i.e nice bars/restaurants etc). A place to unwind.
Basically what one would expect of a beach getaway you see in all those nice brochures
In reading some of these reviews it can look a bit hit and miss
Is Cebu a viable choice? I've heard of a few others an hour or so from Manila. All comments and suggestions most welcome

The second photo is Ice; she's relatively new in the bar, about a month or so, she says. She's also lovely and lovely to talk to; her English is relatively excellent, reflecting her time majoring in marketing at university.
Ice is delicious

Hi azza. Yeah looking forward to it but it will be a few weeks with the same gal.. should be interesting
I found mine on agoda/tripadvisor. Mostly privately owned by expats. That was all that usually came up on google.

Hi guydesavoy, I've lived here for years and yet to find or hear of a hotel in Manila that does not allow LB's. It's your money, your room etc. You may well have to register any guests at reception but that's pretty standard the world over. Five star hotels here are also generally more relaxed than any others about the number and gender choice of your companions.
Hotels such as the Shangri-La, New World, Dusit Thani etc always seem to have a sprinkling of LB joiners heading out in the early morning
Staying in a Condo should mean absolutely zero issues with LB guests. You might get a few curious glances in the lift but hey, that's part of the fun right?
Thanks dazed
You have indeed answered all my questions and assuaged my Catholic guilt (theirs not mine ). This being my 1st trip there it's very reassuring,
Cheers

Well put Paccie.
Welcome Rich. You could try the LB dating sites (some with Australian sections). The PI/Thai based ones can be hit and miss (in terms of sorting out the gold-diggers from the genuine ones), but you've got to be in it to win it.. You may have more luck finding a genuine one if she is already based in Oz.
Good luck and welcome again to our little community.
