Good place to relax with a girlfriend or at least it used to be. I tried it out and Isaan for half a year+ each time, but always found myself coming back to Patts even with the girlfriend. Just that feeling of being close to everything without the commute and high prices of bangkok. Also lived near Mabprachan lake which was a lot more isolated but if you don't mind a 10 km bike ride to and from patts everytime.. its reasonably close.
