Papa Sam
Phuket's Bangla Rd on Patong Beach celebrated its - this time official - reopening yesterday too. Even iconic Kangaroo Bar was open: Okay, people are wearing masks, but otherwise this looks good to me... Source: ThaiPBS A bar in Nawamin had an unexpected visit from the authorities yesterday. The bib came to check whether the Health Safety Standards, or SHA, had been complied with and also if alcohol was being served after 21.00 (9pm). Source: Snakehill 1 Quote Link to comment
Papa Sam
Currently causing a bit of a stir on Thai social media: A crowd of, apparently, tourists walking around Phuket's Patong Beach area, most of them not wearing a mask: https://fb.watch/92ceJmuFU1/ Quote Link to comment

Papa Sam
Khaosod today writes that the government in Phuket signed a provincial order, effective from November 16th onwards, that says: In Phuket, restaurants can sell alcoholic beverages from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Entertainment venues, pubs, bars, karaoke, cockfighting stadiums, fish fighting arenas (!), boxing stadiums or gambling venues will remain closed. Pulci Gorgon
Since field reports dealing with Phuket have been rare, I add a short comment found in a forum in a forum language. That doesn't say much but better than nothing. Quote Hi, I'm currently in Thailand and I have been in Patong for a night. There are quite a few ladyboys here in the main street (Bangla ? note of P&G) , I'd rather say ("I" is the guy who posted) ladyboys for all kind of tastes. Generally speaking, those who gave me their number have their own add online. Here's one : travesti Cindy at distintas If anyone knows her,I'd like to get a feedback, otherwise, I will post one if I go and meet her. It seems the guy hadn't planned to stay long in Patong and was probably on a family trip. No new since he posted this comment 10 days ago. 1 Quote Link to comment

I was in Phuket around the 11th November. It was certainly quite busy then, and Phi Phi was as well. I guess much to the relief of the businesses there. Quote Link to comment
