blind boy grunt
sometimes you get lucky.. i suspect not a well known song nowadays, but i was thinking about it [the song] this morning, as i liked it way back when, and decided to see if it was on youtube, and lo and behold it was indeed. added bonus! David McWilliams was Northern Ireland born. The Days of Pearly Spencer. And if Quinn tells me that he used to sing it in folk clubs. i'm gonna hit him...
Quinn
Not really familiar with this - tho' I remember the title being bandied about by a chum of mine. I'm sure their is a version of this by The Clancy Brothers . . . . !
blind boy grunt
the more i dig, the more i find... The same song, sung by Mandy Bingham who is David McWilliams daughter, She evidently performed this as a tribute to her late father exactly 50 years after his original was released in 1967.
