New Thai Banknotes

Being partially color blind sometimes in the dark it's difficult for me to distinguish between 20's and 50's. and also difficult to distinguish between 100's and 1000's.

It just got tougher.  I'm told the color of the new 100's is now even more like the new 1000's. So they are making the new 1000's bigger.  But one can still confuse new 100's with old 1000's.

I rarely carry around 1000's or 50's.  Just 500's, 100's and 20's and some 10 baht coins.

IMO, the 50 satang and 25 satang coins should be eliminated and nothing should be priced in satang.

I'm red/green colour blind and have difficulty sometimes in differentiating between some Thai banknotes, especially in low lighting.

I don't understand why Governments make their different value bank notes so similar. Aren't US notes like that too?

At least the UK sterling £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes are different sizes and different designs and colours so it's easy to see which is which.

Yes, the US ones are weird!. It's almost like they want you to stuff up when paying someone.

Yep I hear ya , I am red/green too.

I look at the amount on the note first , it can also be tricky getting a driver's license in Thailand you have to do a colour test when applying

It can lead to embarrassing moments. I had a massage from a cute lb in Soi 6 Jomtien and gave her a 100 baht note, instead of a 500 note. She was not impressed!
