Police were called to South Pattaya on Monday evening to deal with the murder of a Restaurant Owner from Larn Island,

Khun Chalor aged 51, the owner of the Chalor Seafood Restaurant on Samae Beach, sustained a gunshot wound to the head which resulted in his death as his wife looked on in horror.

The incident occurred as the pair parked their pick-up truck close to the Bali Hai Pier after spending the day in Pattaya. As the pair exited the vehicle a Thai man, described as “overweight”, pulled up beside the pair and produced a gun. Two shots were fired with the first shot hitting the victim in the side of his head.

CCTV images are being analyzed by Police who can only speculate as to why the shooting took place. Family members confirmed that he had no known disagreements with anyone but Police suspect the shooting relates to his business as the investigation into the murder continues.

Three hours of rain yesterday afternoon and the usual hot spots

Flooded as usual , few hours later all back to normal with no more

Rain but quite a few people have expensive trainers ruined .

Yesterday was perhaps the worst thunder storms I have experienced here.  Looking outside just now and it is bucketing down again.

The Beach Booms situated along Pattaya and Jomtien Beaches which are used to define swimming and boating zones to ensure the safety of beachgoers, have claimed another life on Pattaya Beach in the early hours of Tuesday.

Police and medics were called to the beach opposite the entrance to Soi 10, just before 3am. Members of the public were able to pull the lifeless body of the Russian, thought to be aged in his early twenties, from the water, as his distraught Russian friend looked on in horror. Attempts at CPR were made without success.

The 2 Russian men were drinking together earlier in the night and are thought to have been heavily intoxicated. They decided to walk along one of the beach booms but the victim lost his footing and fell into the water. The body was recovered by other late-night beachgoers but it was too late to save him.

The Russian Embassy in Bangkok were informed by Police of the incident.

Boozing by water or in a red light district carries many hazards and I would imagine there are many near drownings that don't get reported.  The beach in the evening seems to be a popular spot for Russians who buy their drink in the 7/11 or Family opposite.  They give decent cheapskates a bad name. :flirt2:

In the early hours of Sunday a 54 year old Irishman reported an alleged assault by a Pattaya Baht Bus Driver in front of Central Festival Pattaya Beach on Pattaya Second Road.

Mr. Andrew Boyle told officers that he had flagged-down a Baht Bus at the front of Walking Street on Pattaya Beach and had told the driver he needed to go back to his Hotel in Soi AR in Central Pattaya.

Mr. Boyle reports that the driver of Baht Bus Number 118 stopped for a lengthy period of time in front of the Shopping Mall without any explanation which angered Mr. Boyle who then told the driver to proceed to his intended destination.

An exchange of strong words ensued which led to a physical confrontation, during which time Mr. Boyle claims he was punched in his face once, before being left at the location by the Driver, who left the scene in his Baht Bus.

Police contacted the Pattaya Baht Bus Cooperative after a search for the Baht Bus was unsuccessful. The investigation continues as Mr. Boyle recovers from his minor facial injury.

While these roundups may sound like bullshit, I think it can a helpful crime solving tool.

The police get pics and address info for some likely future crime suspects.

100 Ladies and Ladyboy’s “of the night” arrested by Police on Pattaya Beach -

n the early hours of Tuesday and in response to the recent case of a drugging and robbery of a Pakistani Tourist by two women picked-up from Pattaya Beach, Pattaya Police arrested 100 suspected prostitutes who were found loitering in the Beach Road area.

The group consisted of females and Ladyboy’s and each of the detainees was profiled and fined the sum of 200 Baht each before being set free to presumably continue with whatever they were doing prior to their arrest.

Police made it clear that if they continued to be caught in the area punishments would become more severe and any of them who committed a criminal act, especially against a Tourist, would be dealt with to the full extent of the law.

An 81 year old British National died at a Central Pattaya Massage Shop on Thursday afternoon.

Police and medics were called to the Orra Massage Shop on Soi Baukhao and were directed to one of the massage rooms. Lying on the bed was the body of Mr. Adriano Santarelli aged 81. It is thought he died less than 15 minutes before medics arrived.

An inspection of the room and body showed no obvious signs of foul play. Khun Nutapassorn aged 50 told Police that she was administering massage to his arm when he began to convulse and then he stopped breathing.

The victim was known to have frequented the shop on numerous occasions and Police suspect Mr. Santarelli died of a heart attack. A post-mortem examination will take place and the British Embassy in Bangkok have been informed.

In response to complaints from local residents in the South Pattaya area, who are being disturbed by local restaurants which open all night and play loud music until Dawn, a raid of the restaurants, located on the South Pattaya Road, took place over the weekend.

In the early hours of Thursday, the Pattaya Police Chief announced the arrest of 2 members of a Pickpocket Gang who target foreign nationals riding on Baht Buses.

Police Colonel Supatee confirmed the arrest of Khun Arkom aged 24 and Khun Usar aged 33 but informed the gathered media that three other members of the gang were able to escape before Police arrived.

Two Japanese Tourists, Mr. Masimoto aged 51 and Mr. Sito were on a Baht Bus travelling from the Dolphin Roundabout towards Central Pattaya when the alleged pickpocketing took place. A bag containing 4,600 Baht was taken from Mr. Masimoto and a bag thought to contain in excess of 20,000 Baht was taken from Mr. Sito.

The smaller amount of money was recovered from the two suspects but the larger amount was taken by the three other gang members who were able to escape. Police do have full details of the three outstanding members of the gang and arrest warrants have been issued for them.

The two suspects confirmed they would travel on Baht Buses daily in search of foreigners who appeared to be carrying bags containing valuable items and had been doing so for a long time.

Seems that a second lady(boy) vastly increases the risk factor.

An Australian teacher says he has been left with only 20 baht in his pocket after being drugged and robbed by two women in Pattaya.

Mario Chittra, 46, on Saturday filed a complaint with Pattaya police that two sex workers had drugged and robbed him of 550 euros or about 22,500 baht, police said.

He told police that he was visiting the beach city for the first time and had rented a room in the Na Klua area. While walking alone in a shopping area in Pattaya at about 12.30am on Saturday, he was approached by two women who offered him sex services. He accepted and took them for drinks and snacks at a nearby shop.

At the shop, he ordered three cans of beer. He then went to the washroom and returned to his table less than five minutes later. He continued drinking his beer and shortly afterward felt drowsy.

He said he then hired a motorcycle taxi driver to take him and the two women to his room, where he fell unconscious. When he woke up, he found his belongings were scattered. His cash, totalling 550 euros kept in a travel bag, had disappeared, leaving only a 20-baht banknote in his bag.

Police believe the women might have put sleeping pills into the man's beer when he went to the washroom and robbed him after he passed out. The officers are investigating.
