In the early hours of Monday a 55 year old Polish man was injured during an altercation with two Security Guards at a Walking Street Go-Go Bar which is now facing the possibility of receiving a temporary closure order of at-least 30 days.

The incident occurred at the newly-opened Skyfall Go-Go Bar located at the Northern end of Walking Street and was reported to Tourist Police by Mr. Rafal Jakowicki who was treated by medics for a deep laceration to his forehead.

Tourist Police Officers detained the two Security Guards alleged to be involved in the incident, Khun Egapon aged 28 and Khun Panu aged 33, who were later taken to Pattaya Police Station and one of them was charged with assault.

The pair claimed that the Polish customer was asked to leave the bar and refused to leave. The Guards claimed he was drunk and abusive and initiated a fight with Khun Panu. Khun Egapon ran inside to assist his colleague and eventually the man was taken outside where he was reportedly struck across the head with a steel hook by Khun Panu who was later charged with assault.

Incidents of violence involving Tourists are taken very seriously by Police and on Monday Night the Tourist Police conducted a raid of Skyfall and conducted ID card checks and some staff members were urine tested but no evidence of drug-taking was found. License checks were made and no irregularities were found.

In previous cases similar to this one bars have been given closure orders of at least 30 days and a report of this incident has been sent to the Licensing Unit at the Banglamung District Office who may decide to act further and close the venue for a period of time.

In an unusual but responsible move, the owner of the Skyfall Go-Go Bar, which is at the center of an incident which occurred in the early hours of Monday involving a Polish Tourist who was allegedly assaulted by one of the Security Guards at the bar, has decided to shut down and offer extra staff training to avoid a similar incident from occurring there again.

The move has been applauded by local authorities who are impressed at the move, however a report of the incident has been sent to the Governor of Chonburi Province who may still decide to temporarily close the venue.

It was also made clear that all medical expenses incurred by the 55 year old victim of the assault, have been covered by the bar owner who is now waiting to see if his responsible actions will gain any favor from the Provincial Governor as he decides the short-term fate of the bar which has been popular with Tourists since it opened early in 2015.

The guy who was attacked owns a bar on Soi Buakhao.

A British bar owner in Pattaya was hurt after being jumped by six young men bent on stealing his expensive motorbike early today.

Police found a bruised and bleeding Danny Dauiels standing guard over his Honda PCX with his bruised and bleeding face on Khao Noi Road in Nong Prue sub-district of Bang Lamung district around 3am.

The Briton said he was attacked by six teenagers who showed up on three motorcycles while he was on his way to his beer bar on Bua Khao Road in the central area of the Chon Buri province city.

The group cut him off and he fell. The gang then punched and hit him with crash helmets in a bid to steal his bike. But he said he fought back and held tight to the motorcycle worth more than 60,000 baht. The gang then fled the scene.

Army demolition team called-in as Pattaya Hotel Demolition saga continues
on: 21 April, 2015

Army demolition teams were called in to knock down ground-floor walls of a South Pattaya Hotel which is the subject of a demolition order due to a breach of planning regulations.

The long-running issues at the Pattaya Boutique Hotel in Soi VC have left many local officials frustrated as the owners of the Hotel have continuously refused to accept demolition orders which were issued, as plans to initially construct a 7-floor Hotel were changed to become a 13-floor Hotel but crucially the new plans were not submitted for approval to the local city planning department, who deemed the construction illegal.

The Provincial Governor has visited the site on numerous occasions, along with other high-ranking local government officials and on Monday a team of Army officials were called in to begin demolition of parts of the Hotel in a show of strength from the local authorities who have clearly had-enough and want the Hotel demolished in accordance with the order issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court.

It was also revealed that the company behind the Hotel have up to 10 other projects in Pattaya which allegedly breach planning regulations and may be subject to similar demolition orders in the future.

It is unsure what impact the partial demolition of a ground floor wall will have on this long-running issue which is set to run even further, especially with the inevitable inclusion of other projects in the future.

The discovery of a body of a homeless man, who was known to sleep in an abandoned beer bar on Pattaya Beach Road, was made on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the Beer Bar Complex at the Central Pattaya section of Beach Road, just before 1.30pm and were directed to a Beer Bar located at the rear of the complex, which had been empty for some time.

A homeless man, thought to be a Thai National, had been sleeping there for some time and a cleaner of a nearby restaurant would often provide him with food. On Sunday he failed to appear at the restaurant as usual which led to the discovery of his body.

The man’s name is not known and his exact cause of death is also a mystery for now. Police have ordered a full post-mortem examination to take place although the death is not thought to be suspicious in any way and foul play is not thought to be a factor in his death, which is thought to have occurred 5-6 hours prior to the discovery of the body.

Police were called to the house in Soi 11 off the Tepprasit Road by its owner, Khun Jackapan aged 33. He was about to attack the Police Volunteer over allegations that he was the head of a gang who sexually assault young girls in the Pattaya area.

The Police Volunteer, Khun Wichai aged 40, who is attached to Na-Jomtien Police Station, drove past and was spotted by one of the men who invited him to come and drink with them.

This particular minivan had no passengers. But these guys drive too fast so I won't take them.

Police and rescue workers attended a fatal road crash on the main Sukhumvit Road late on Tuesday Night which resulted in the death of a pedestrian.

The crash occurred on the Bangkok-bound carriageway of the road, in front of the Jalerndee Furniture Shop. The dead pedestrian was not carrying any identification but he was described by Police as a Thai male, aged in his early forties.

200 meters away from the body was a damaged Minivan and its stunned driver, Khun Dang aged 40. He told Police that he was driving home and by his own admission was driving at a high rate of speed. He claimed to have failed to see the pedestrian crossing the main road and hit him at full-speed.
