I hope so. I did go in Jan/Feb this year and had to deal with all the Thai Visa hassle and 1 day quarantine, so hopefully it wouldn't be any worse than that.

But not really worth going if everything is closed down again.

I probably will take the risk with the condo booking.

After 2.5 years I was fed up and thought I could risk it with Omicron.

I made the trip to Thailand fine.

Till I got on the return leg and then US immigration.

The flight attendants were unmasked. The US immigration queue we were all told to take off our masks and there was no social distancing.

Guess what.. she got COVID and then 2 days later I had COVID. Today for the first time my Rapid Test was Negative (after 9 days) but PCR is still positive. Still have some symptoms. You know most of the symptoms list I imagine by now.

Worst symptom is as soon as I stand up and walk.. start seeing stars, feeling dizzy and sweating.. in other words covid has totally sapped my strength/ endurance and my body feels like its working too hard.

I haven't lost my sex drive but in this condition sex would like a real chore. (I never thought I would say that).

I would guess would be at least a week from now that I'd be able to be able to perform much less enjoy sex.

So that's the risk you take with taking a trip for COVID.

IMO if you're going to make a trip.. make it at least a month long so if you do get COVID and have a long bout like mine, you still have 2 weeks to enjoy your trip on the tail end.

I am, a longstay. The vaccine albeit tweaked  is still recommended here. I trust our health department and the vaccine they suggest we take. Won’t get into the  mask debate again since you have faith in them. It’s been beaten to death. They were never recommended during the pandemic here. At a family reunion late may, 1/3 of the attendees got tested positive a few days later. Some are in my age, triple jabs, got pretty roughed up and still have  symptoms. It’s still out there unfortunately.

Hope you recover alright.

I wear the N-95! I won't trust the cloth one.

Funny enough now that you mention it.. I wondered why the missus got it first.

She didn't like the N-95 for the long duration on the plane so she wore the cloth one and yes she got covid first.

Cloth masks are indeed useless.

You’re probably correct, N-95 might do something about transmission, cloths do nada, but there’s no way I’ll live my life with a N-95 on.

I was warned by bbg ,who is an expert on mask matters, that ! should take off my N-95 mask when I wore it in Emmy's Bar.

He said I could be arrested for wearing one in Thailand.

You should get a custom tshirt made.

I'm a Quiet Guy.. Leave me Alone or unmask my chemical grenade!!

Fuck that was a lot of work.

3 mins from where I live, app registration ahead, a beautiful female nurse of syrian descent gave me the Pfizer shot, in n out in 3 mins.  Cost: 0.
I was able to connect to a super strong 5G signal immediately after without any other network present I’m aware of

Everyone gets a free ice cream as a thank you.

Tax paying system at its best. Imagine a dystopia where everyone tries to evade tax these services wouldn’t exist.

Are you chipped? Augmented?

Just curious :-)

Eye identification. I was advised against chip for reasons I can’t get into. Just because you’re not paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you.

The wearing of a mask is a voluntary practice from now onwards.

Royal Gazette: The wearing of a mask is a voluntary practice from now onwards. The Ministry of Public Health only recommends that the general public wear a mask in a crowded or badly ventilated place or if they have symptoms.

But I think it is proper etiquette for farangs to wear a mask if you are in an area where all Thai people are wearing them.  Even if you think they're useless it's a gesture of respect.  Of course you wouldn't be wearing them on Buakhao, LK Metro, or Pothole.

Same here.  4 weeks of phlegm/ coughing. Actually everyone in my building too. Some prefers to believe it’s hay fever, some just a cold , I have no idea. I do believe they sell these anti gen tests at supermarkets, but no one cares. Maybe we should, I really don’t know

hey, I get that almost every time I hit Bangkok.  I call it Bangkok Lung.  Oddly it clears up when I go to Cambodia. One year it came and went for almost 2 months.  Never have figured out why? dry plane interior for 15+ hours?  Bkk pollution? Never happens at home in the usa. Interesting to see what happens in November when I get there.  I won't be able to go OUT if it happens. I'll be coughing and ppl will start freaking out...they'll taze me n lock me up in a haz mat room for 2 weeks, heh.

would it be ok if I poke an insertion size hole in just the right spot? maybe just a slit? vertical or horizontal? I suppose for those areas you mention...might get looks on the Skytrain huh?

Fuck Covid, Polio is now back in the UK

Thank you Tories. Thankfully our generation had the jab, no antivaxxers/tinfoilhats back then. Just normal, honest, responsible working class people.

Test everyone who made a trip to Pakistan and Afghanistan in the last 2 years should be a good start to identify carriers and who needs the vaccine.

Socialism does not reasonate with the working class in the UK, due to its leadership.

Would the working class in the UK like to see the NHS abolished?

Many USA citizens wish they had a system similar to the NHS, but there are powerful special interests in opposition.

This is a class warfare issue but nowadays people seem far more concerned with the culture war

Yeah , try that on and you’ll have a revolution in its true meaning . Boris and his stooges would have their heads chopped off publicly  French style. It would be quite the party.

People here love the NHS. The Tories would love to abolish it and charge everyone for healthcare. But they can't do that because there would be a huge reaction.

So instead they are doing it by stealth, introducing charges for bits here and there, scrapping some services forcing people to pay for private provision, outsourcing parts to private contractors, and underfunding and running down what is left, managed decline so eventually they can claim it isn't working.

Same here, hence you have to vote left if you want to keep it.

The rightwingers  are very happy to use the public healthcare, as they are evading taxes for public funding. Nice huh. Parasites.
